This 1990 (first year) Gibson Classic 1960 has been through some things, but after a fret level, a new bone nut, and a setup is absolutely killer. Good weight, great neck shape, and just wants to rock.

There’s no need to be blue when you’re playing a PRS Hollowbody. With a new nut and a setup, this one is feeling and sounding great!

My favorite part of guitar repair is resuscitating loved instruments! To most people, this is just another Taylor 314, but to Paolo, this is the guitar that he’s played for 15 years and carries memories of his wife, travel, and life over that time. Another shop told him the cracks and separation were unrepairable. When I told him it could absolutely be repaired, he got overwhelmed and hugged me, and when it was done exclaimed “you saved her!” Best. Review. Ever.

On the first night of a recent campout, one of the scouts in my son’s troop brought his guitar and asked if I could fish out his output jack, which had fallen into his Epi Riviera between his house and the campsite.

I couldn’t do it on site, so he sent it back with me and I got it extracted and made a few other quick adjustments while it was on the bench. You can see it most Thursdays at the Open Mic putting out some great blues playing!

I’m not sure if it got stepped or sat on, but this had four loose braces/cracked braces and wound up needing 12 cleats to close up the cracks across the top. With a fret level and a new saddle it’s feeling really good!

This is the best Les Paul I’ve played in recent memory. 2017 R7 setup with 8’s for a client about to have hand surgery and wanting it to play easier.

It’s easy to see why Billy Gibbons is known for playing 8’s. This guitar is way too much fun!

Meet “Themla Lou”, a 1923 Gibson A just refretted for our friend Larry. It had gotten a partial refret years back, but now it got a full refret, and is ready to get deeper into its 2nd century making music!

brought in this for a setup while he was back in Georgetown over the holidays. I can’t wait to see him play it around Nashville and out on the road! Keep going, Brooks!!

The first guitar of the year is a setup for (aka Mrs. ). Her parents and I gifted this to her in 2002 from , as we were still in New England at the time!

In all seriousness, this one guitar gets more play time with Danielle’s Music Therapy clients than all of my guitars together. Over the years it’s been refretted, been through a couple nuts, at least one saddle, new tuners, some loose braces, and I’m sure other repairs I’m forgetting. It almost due for a fret level, but we’ll hit that around spring break at its next restring/setup.

It’s no secret that I love guitars with family history, so I was honored when brought in his Father’s Favilla with the request to “bring it back to life”.

It got a fret level, tuner clean & l**e, setup, and a new pickguard. With some silk & steel strings to keep it easy-playing for Kirk’s Dad, it’s ready to make music again!

Thanks for trusting me with it Kirk, I can’t wait to hear what he says when he sees it!
