Love singing? Want to learn how to sing? Join a choir at SU!!!

Our choirs offer places for lovers of singing (and those curious about it) to explore their artistry in a collaborative and supportive community as we work to create harmony between people. (pun intended) Together, we empower our individual and collective voices, develop lifelong creativity, and build musical tools through choral music and ensemble singing.

Forty years ago, Professor Emeritus of Music Michael Cooper set out on a journey to shed light on Black composers Florence Price and Margaret Bonds. Since then, he has published hundreds of previously unheard works by the iconic duo. Today, in retirement, Cooper continues his passion of making their music available for the world to hear.
