Parents are able to walk their students TO their classroom this week only!

Before we start this brand new school year, we want to congratulate ALL of our Mitchell Mavericks who worked so hard last year and made the top 10 growth in reading and math in the entire district! 👏🏻
A special thank you to those kiddos' teachers for all the support and long hours they put in as well to help them grow!
Way to go Mavericks!!! We're so proud of all of you! 🐴📖 ➕➗✖️➖🟰

Hey Mitchell Fam! This morning if you are in need of school supplies please stop by!!!!!

Families in Georgetown who need assistance with school supplies can get free backpacks and supplies on Saturday, August 8 from 10:30 am -12:30 pm at The Carver Center for Families, 1200 W. 17th Street, Georgetown.

No registration is needed. The event is open to any family in Georgetown, Texas in need of school supplies.

Gates at the site will open at 10:30 am on August 8. Families should enter the campus from Scenic Drive to access the backpack and supply distribution. Parents can let volunteers know the age and gender of the children in their household and the quantity needed, and volunteers will hand out backpacks to families in this drive-through-style event.

The event runs from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, and supplies will be distributed until they run out.

Any family in GISD who is unable to attend the event and needs assistance with supplies is encouraged to let their child’s counselor know so that supplies can be made available to those students at the start of school.

If you haven't already, please go sign up on Adopt a Georgetown ISD teacher so that the parents and community can help support as many classrooms as we can this year at Mitchell!

PARENTS- if you haven't joined the Adopt a Georgetown ISD Teacher group yet, and would like to spread some joy to our amazing teachers, please sign up! You don't have to clear their list or do anything crazy, but dropping off little treats or supplies throughout the year makes a HUGE difference to them!!!! ✂️📌🧋🥐

If you need any help and are interested in signing up just reach out! Let's try and get all the teachers adopted this year!!!!
