Ms. Hruskocy’s 3rd graders have been hard at work in Social Studies! They recently dove into learning all about our community, using grid coordinates, and collaborating to build a giant group map. It’s been incredible watching their teamwork and map-reading skills grow! 📍✨

Thank you Carolyn Jennings Brown for helping us make Annie Purl a kinder place to be. Our Pumas learned how to choose kind and show up for everyone when they need it most. Choosing kindness makes for a softer place for everyone, and we can all use a little more of that.

👟💛 Hey Dude, Nice Shoes! 💛👟

Today, our Purl students had the opportunity to hear from the amazing Mrs. Brown, speaker of “Hey Dude, Nice Shoes!” 👟✨

Through her engaging presentation, students learned about the importance and impact of kindness, how to support others, and why the words we choose truly matter. Mrs. Brown reminded our students that even one small act of kindness can make a BIG difference!

This anti-bullying, pro-kindness presentation gave our students the opportunity to think about what it means to be an upstander, stand up for others, and make a positive difference in their school community. 💛

Mrs. Brown also hosted a parent presentation, giving our families valuable insight into their role in helping their children become confident, compassionate upstanders.

Thank you, Mrs. Brown, for inspiring our Pumas to choose kindness, use their words wisely, and look out for one another! 🐾💛

🌎✨ Purl had some very special visitors today—all the way from Japan! 🇯🇵

We were so excited to welcome Minoru and Ayumi to Annie Purl Elementary! They had the opportunity to tour our school, visit classrooms, and experience a little bit of the Puma Pride that makes Purl so special. 🐾💛🖤

A big thank you to Ms. Bruce for bringing her former exchange student and her husband back to visit us! We loved having you at Purl and hope you enjoyed your time with us as much as we did! 💕🇯🇵
