Community Groups Wanted!

Project Success and GRF Unit #4 are excited to host Summer Jam on Tuesday, June 30th from 4:30–7:30 PM at Pine Crest Elementary β€” and we would love for local community groups to join us!

This free family event will include music, games, food, activities, and plenty of fun for the whole community. We are inviting community organizations, churches, clubs, agencies, and local groups to set up a table, share resources, connect with families, and be part of the fun.

Tables and chairs will be provided!

To learn more or reserve your spot, please contact Joanna Pickering at [email protected] or Kendra O'Connell at [email protected]

Come help us make Summer Jam a great night for our families β€” rain may have moved the date, but it did not cancel the fun! Project Success of Vermilion County, Inc. Georgetown - Ridge Farm Schools Georgetown Ladies Community Club ACT Now

πŸ“’ **Summer Jam Date Change**

Dear GRF Families,

Due to weather-related issues at our venue, we had to postpone our original **Summer Jam** event. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, but we are excited to share that the event has been rescheduled!

> Whew, what a trip! Everyone made it back safe and sound, and we had an amazing time. Although, if we're being honest, I think the kids may have been more excited about Golden Corral than the caverns!
>
> A huge shout-out to our awesome staff and our fantastic bus driver for helping make this trip such a success. Your kiddos were excellent representatives of our school, and we couldn't be more proud of them.
>
> Thank you for trusting us with your children and allowing them to be part of this great experience. We appreciate your support and are so glad everyone had a wonderful time Project Success of Vermilion County, Inc. Georgetown - Ridge Farm Schools! ACT Now 😊

Field Trip Update:

We have just finished eating. Unfortunately, our charter bus has a tire that is going flat. A mechanic is expected to arrive within approximately 20 minutes to repair it. Once the repair is completed, we will be back on the road and headed home.

Our current estimated arrival time at MMJH is 5:15 PM.

We will send another update as soon as the mechanic arrives. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

**Blue Springs Cavern Field Trip Update**

Good newsβ€”the field trip to Blue Springs Cavern is still on for tomorrow!

After consulting with school administration and our charter bus company, we have decided to shorten the trip by approximately one hour to help ensure everyone gets home safely and, hopefully, ahead of any worsening weather conditions.

🚨 **Important Reminder: Closed-toe shoes are REQUIRED!**
Students **may not wear Crocs, slides, sandals, or other open-toe shoes.** The cavern floor is wet and can be slippery. We want everyone to stay safeβ€”and avoid any Crocs-related mishaps from forgetting to put them in "four-wheel drive!" πŸ˜„

πŸ§₯ Please also have your student bring a **light jacket or hoodie**, as the temperature inside the cavern stays around **50Β°F** year-round.

We are looking forward to a fun and memorable trip!

This event is canceled due to weather related issues. We've rescheduled for Tuesday June 30th
