Please join us in welcoming Amanda Pickens to the team!

We are so excited to officially welcome Amanda to the Parkside staff as our part-time QUEST teacher! Amanda will work alongside Mrs. Koller to serve our QUEST students, and we are thrilled to have her joining us in this new role.

Before becoming a familiar face on our PTA, Amanda was a teacher right here in Leander ISD, teaching both 3rd and 5th grade at Reagan Elementary. She later took some time away from the classroom to stay home with her three children—all Mustangs!—while continuing to serve Parkside through various PTA roles.

After spending the last few years back in our classrooms as a substitute, we couldn’t be happier to make it official.

UPDATE: Rouse Football is helping us out!!! Thank you Coach Hopkins and team!!!!

We are looking for some volunteers FRIDAY, AUG 7 at 9:00 a.m to help us get our spaces ready for the year! If you have any kids or teens looking for service hours, this is a great opportunity. We have extra desks, chairs, etc to move into a portable building here on campus. Alone it would take all day, but with help, we can knock it out quick! **If your Parkside student wants to help, please plan to be there with them!**

This event is for families who are NEW to Parkside Elementary. Join us to learn the ins and outs of being a Parkside Mustang! We’ll cover arrival and dismissal, communication, campus procedures, and other need-to-know information to help your family feel confident and ready for the school year.

Please note: If you attended Kindergarten Roundup, this information will be a repeat, so there is no need to attend unless you have additional questions.

Welcome, Min Kim! ❤️🐴

We're excited to welcome Min Kim to the Parkside family as one of our new Instructional Assistants!

Min brings a wonderful blend of classroom, tutoring, and teaching experience, having worked with elementary and middle school students. Many of our families may already recognize her from her time as a substitute teacher in Leander ISD or from volunteering at Parkside as both a room parent and reading partner!

Min is passionate about supporting students, building relationships, and helping every child succeed. Outside of school, she enjoys listening to music, playing the piano, and spending time with her family.

We're so excited to have Min as an official member of the Parkside team! ❤️🖤💙

Please join us in welcoming Supriya Patil to the Parkside family as one of our Instructional Assistants!

Supriya brings experience supporting students as a Kumon tutor, preschool summer school assistant, and middle school instructional assistant. With a background in Computer Science and a passion for helping children learn, she loves seeing students experience those exciting “aha!” moments when new learning clicks.

When she’s not at school, Supriya enjoys painting and arts and crafts, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family.

We’re excited for our students and staff to get to know Supriya and know she’ll make a wonderful addition to the Parkside staff! ❤️🖤💙

Welcome back, Patty LaTouf! ❤️🐴

We are thrilled to welcome Patty LaTouf back to the Parkside family!

Many of our Mustang families will remember Patty from her 14 years teaching 5th grade at Parkside before spending the past two years serving students in Resource and Inclusion at Hisle Elementary. This year, she returns as our SCSS teacher, bringing incredible experience, a heart for students, and a passion for helping every learner succeed.

When she’s not at school, Patty enjoys spending time in nature, watching sunsets, playing the piano, and being with her family.

We’re so excited to welcome Patty back home to Parkside!
