Jessie Roach Memorial This page was created in memory of Jessica Roach. Here people can post pictures and memories. Concerned, she returned home, and her father called the police.

Fifteen-year-old Jessica Roach was last seen in the afternoon of Monday, September 20, 1993, riding her new bicycle near her home in rural Georgetown, Vermilion County, Illinois. About one-half hour later, her sister saw Jessica's bicycle lying in the roadway. About six weeks later, on November 13, 1993, Jessica's decomposed body was found across the state line, near Perrysville, Indiana. Jessi was an average 15 year old. It was normal for her to come home from school and watch "Gone With the Wind"( for the millionth time haha) or go for a ride down the one lane country road that the family lived on. But September 20th 1993 wasn't just an average day. Jessi made it to the end of their road, not even a 1/4 mile from the house and was stopped and dragged from her bike in less than a minuet. In less than a minuet a monster, Larry Hall, took her and drove away. How long she suffered with this monster, no one but him knows. Then he murdered her and left her body in a cornfield, where he thought she would never be found. Jessi wasn't his only victim. But she led authorities to dig into him and look for the evidence to give names of others and to try and charge him for their deaths. This year will be 20 years that Jessi has been gone. She is gone but not forgotten. So in her memory and name, Myndi has put together a scholarship. It will be awarded to a student at the high school Jessi attended and didn't get to graduate from. After Jessi graduated she to wanted to study to become a Jet Airline Pilot. We want Jessi's story to be heard and to reach out to children and families everywhere. We want to bring awareness to them.

It’s been 33 yrs and I can still hear her laughter. I see her in the actions of my granddaughters. I wish they could have known her and not just our memories.
I loved reading all the comments with memories from so many. It makes me happy to know she touched so many. And her story has protected so many as well.

Today is September 20,2024…..31 years ago today Jessi was taken by a selfish man.
But she mattered!
I had 2 young girls contact me because they were doing a school report about Jessi and the importance of awareness. One was from Shiloh high school near where it all happened. The other was from where we live now 130 miles away in Chatham Illinois.
It was so amazing and heart warming. They researched and then reached out to me for interview.
By the way they both got an A for their report.
Jessi ‘s story brings awareness to this crazy world.

When we lose a loved one
Our world just falls apart
We think that we can't carry on
With this broken heart
Everything is different now
You're upset and you're annoyed
Your world, it seems, is shattered
There's such an awful void
There's got to be a reason
And we have to understand
God made us and at any time
He'll reach down for our hand
There might not be a warning
We won't know where or when or why
The only thing we're certain of
Is we'll meet them once again.

REMEMBER JESSI !!!

I hope all could see the documentary about Jessi. It was on the program “Very Scary People” the 2part episode was called “The Twin”. This program was focused on not only Jessi but also Tricia Rietler who was also taken and murdered by Larry Hall. He named her in the same confession that he confessed to Jessi. Sad part is she was never found.
The program can be seen on YouTube and other streaming channels. Search for it in season5 of “Very Scary People”
If questions arise please ask….
