Did you know Delaware has a powerful program dedicated to keeping our family farms thriving for generations to come? The Aglands Preservation & Planning Program works with farmers across our state to preserve farmland through voluntary 10-year Agricultural Preservation Districts, helping ensure these lands remain dedicated to agriculture.

Farm families can then take another step by choosing a permanent Agricultural Conservation Easement, which protects their land from future development and keeps Delaware’s agricultural heritage strong.

Why this matters to all of us:
• It supports Delaware’s family farms and the traditions that shape our communities.
• It protects open space, natural resources, and the rural landscapes we love.
• It strengthens our local food system and keeps agriculture a vital part of our economy.
