Our March evening program started with Lenny sharing a useful idea about Beginners and Enders. Those are the little pieces we use to start stitching to keep the thread from tangling up as we start piecing our blocks...the dreaded thread boogie π Lenny keeps a box of squares and she uses 2 of these squares as her beginners and enders instead of using some small scrap bit. This way, thwy are not wasted - you are working on 2 projects at once. After she has collected a bunch of the beginners and enders, she pieces them together to make another beautiful creation.
We ended the evening with show and tell! We have some very talented people in our group.

At our March Day program, we all pitched in for a good cause. Mary Ann Doland's Hug Buddies. Helping with all stages of the creation process. These cute animals go to various organizations that help kids. Something soft and cuddly to give an overwhelmed and frightened child a hug! Delmarvalous Quilters are proud to be part of it!

After surviving the Blizzard of 2026, February Quilt day was an enjoyable day out! February Faux Curves class was a success! Thanks to Lenny for showing us a new technique! Others came to work on comfort quilts or their own projects. Peggy introduced us to working with cork during the evening program. As always, we enjoyed spending time together and showing off our work during show and tell.

January was a lot of fun learning how to make crumbs blocks with Lenny. What a great way to use up scraps! Lenny is so creative and a wonderful teacher!
For our evening program we watched a video on the process of making cotton material. It is amazing that fields of those white cotton puffs creat the beautiful fabrics we love to cut up and sew back together!
Of course we also had lots of show-n-tell!
In Februray, Lenny is teaching us how to make Faux Curves. We will be using our crumbs blocks! But dont worry if you didnt participate in the January class. You can use any cotton fabric to make the faux curves project! Come join us!
