Next up is a young teacher full of energy and good ideas!

Teacher of the week: Ms. Bowman

You would never guess Ms. Bowman is only in her second year of
teaching when you walk into her classroom! She is always organized,
prepared, and willing to go above and beyond for her students. She
embraces challenges, doesn’t give up, and is always looking for a solution.

We are so thankful to have Ms. Bowman as part of the Garth family!

You go Ms. Bowman! Keep shining!🤩

It's time to celebrate our staff! 📣🥳

First up:

Staff member of the week: Mrs. Hoffman

Mrs. Hoffman has taken on leading our MTSS program and has jumped
right in! There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes that most of
us probably never see, but she works so hard to make sure our students
and teachers are getting the support they need. She has really stepped up
to this role and does so much to help keep things moving.

We truly couldn’t do it without her! We are so thankful to have Mrs. Hoffman on our team!

Way to go Mrs. Hoffman! Our students benefit from your dedication!

Today we were happily surprised by staff who decided to brighten our day!

First, Mr. Jones came around this morning with coffee and treats he had made over the weekend. So awesome!

Then, Mr. Pelphrey let us know that he and Mrs. Mitchell had chips and soda for us this afternoon!

Jones, Pelphrey and Mitchell...

We think you are all that and a bag of chips! 💚💚💚

Several staff members learned CPR! Thank you to everyone who spent time learning this skill to keep us safe. 💚

High school book buddies checked in on some sweet first graders! 📖

The Garth Garden Club collected a harvest! 🍅

We have all been riding high on school spirit lately! Please note below there is a post on how to get spirit wear.

Show all of Georgetown that you are Garth proud!🦬

Get rested. Get ready. We have one more week before fall break. Let's make it a good one!

Teacher of the week: Mrs. Prater

Some words of praise:

She took on the HUGE job of being our Hospitality Coordinator for the 100th
year celebration, and she knocked it out of the park! I seriously cannot tell
you how many compliments I got about the dessert display in the
cafeteria. It looked absolutely beautiful!

This was no small task, and Mrs. Prater jumped right in and made it happen. We are so lucky to have her on our team!

A teacher and a baker... now that's an awesome combo! 🧁👩‍🏫

Today we are celebrating two ladies with hospitality for days!

Staff member of the week: Nurse Huff

She donated so much of her time and effort to create the grazing table
for our 100th year celebration, and WOW! It was one of the most beautiful
and delicious grazing tables I have ever seen. She put so much time and
love into making it special for everyone.

And on top of that, she is hands down the best school nurse in town! Nurse
Huff cares so much about our students and staff and is always there when we need her. We are so lucky to have her on our Garth team!

We love you, Karen! ❤️‍🩹
