We received this award at the School Nutrition Association state conference as Kentucky Team of the Year!! We worked hard each and every day to make sure each student was fed a delicious meal! This team is more than a team, we are a family!

Please note that we will not have any utensils out for students or staff as this is a dinner show theme just as if you were going to the Dolly Parton’s Stampede show.

These ladies in the kitchen worked their tail feathers off, noodles, veggies, and steak were boxed, dishes were dirtied, Apple Watch rings were closed🤣 but every student and staff were fed a very beautiful delicious meal!!

Please be sure to thank your lunch ladies every day, we work hard back in the kitchen to make sure every student and staff has a healthy hot meal for breakfast and lunch!

School Lunch Hero Day is a national recognition day that honors the hardworking individuals who prepare and serve nutritious meals to students in schools across the United States. It is typically celebrated on the first Friday in May every year.

This day was created to acknowledge the important role that school nutrition professionals play in supporting the well-being and academic success of students. They work tirelessly to provide healthy and appealing meals, often with limited resources and under tight deadlines.

On School Lunch Hero Day, schools and communities come together to show appreciation for their school nutrition heroes through gestures such as thank-you cards, small gifts, and special celebrations. It's a wonderful opportunity to express gratitude for the dedication and hard work of these unsung heroes!

As many of you know we are in competition with the SCHS kitchen in the month of May, and this month we were challenged to make art from food. We did not one but two master pieces! I don’t care who you are, the bikini bottom and dragon are the best thing ever! If you give us lemons we will make a million pitchers of the best lemonade in the world! When we are giving a challenge we go big or go home!
