Hey Band Fans!! 📣🎶

We’re down to the FINAL THREE DAYS of our Booster Bucks Fundraiser, and we urgently need your help! We’re still working to raise $6,000 to purchase a much-needed new sound system for our band.

Our current system is worn down and frequently cuts out, making communication difficult during practices and performances. A new sound system would make a huge difference for our students and help the band continue to perform at its best!

Please consider making a donation during these last THREE DAYS. Every dollar gets us closer to our goal, and no donation is too small!

🎓Senior Sunday | LILY🎓

Today we are proud to celebrate Lily, an outstanding Georgetown Eagle Band senior whose dedication, leadership, musicianship, and passion for performance have made a lasting impact on both the GHS Band and Colorguard programs.

Lily’s journey with the Georgetown Eagle Band began as an 8th grader, and she was recognized as an Outstanding Fall Performer and was also named Band Member of the Year, early honors that reflected her talent, commitment, and bright future within the program.

Throughout her high school career, Lily has continued to grow as both a musician and performer. As a freshman, she performed a solo and was recognized as Outstanding Winterguard. She also had the incredible opportunity to compete at the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio.

During her sophomore year, Lily served as Sergeant and was recognized as Most Improved Rifle. She continued to grow as a leader and performer during her junior year, when she was named Outstanding Guard and received the National School Marching Award.

For the past two years, Lily has served as Colorguard Captain, leading the section throughout her junior and senior years. She has also been part of sections recognized for their excellence, earning Colorguard Section of the Year twice and Oboe Section of the Year.

We are incredibly proud of Lily, not only for her impressive accomplishments, but for the hard work, perseverance, leadership, and heart she has brought to the Georgetown Eagle Band and Colorguard. From her earliest days in the program to becoming a captain and mentor, Lily has grown into an exceptional senior leader!

Congratulations on your Senior Year, Lily! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see all that your final year has in store! 💙🦅🎶

🎓Senior Sunday | GRANT 🎓

Today we are proud to celebrate Grant, an outstanding Georgetown Eagle Band Senior musician whose talent, leadership, and dedication have made a lasting impact on the GHS band program. 💙🦅🎶

Grant has served with excellence as Principal Trumpet and Trumpet Section Leader, where he has led his section with confidence, consistency, and a true passion for musical excellence throughout his high school career.

As a standout performer in jazz, Grant was honored at the Taft Jazz Festival in Spring 2026 as an Outstanding Musician, a recognition that highlights his exceptional skill, artistry, and commitment as a jazz trumpet player. Enjoy Grant playing the Flugelhorn solo from that performance in this post!💙

His excellence has been recognized year after year at GHS, as Grant was named the Outstanding Brass Player during his sophomore, and junior years an achievement that reflects his continued growth and sustained excellence as a musician.🎺

We are incredibly proud of Grant—not only for his impressive accomplishments, but for the leadership, work ethic, and love of music he brings every day to the Georgetown Eagle Band. His impact on the program will be felt for years to come.

$15,000 raised. 🎉 One HUGE fundraising goal crushed. 💰 And the band directors paid the price… with whipped cream PIE in the face!!

These students worked hard, hit their first fundraising goal, and earned the ultimate reward: a pie in the face for their directors — delivered by the drum majors! 🥁💥

This is what happens when a band comes together and goes ALL IN. 🎺🥁🎶

🎓 SENIOR SUNDAY | BAILEY 🎓

Today we’re celebrating Bailey, a two-year Drum Major, talented oboe player, and valued member of the Georgetown High School Band Leadership Team! 🎶

Bailey has spent the past two years leading the band from the front, demonstrating confidence, dedication, and a true commitment to her fellow musicians. As a Drum Major and member of the Leadership Team, Bailey has helped set the tone for the marching band both on and off the field, serving as an example of leadership, teamwork, and dedication.

As an oboe player, Bailey has continued to grow as a musician, advancing all the way to TMEA AREA last year — an incredible accomplishment!

From leading rehearsals and performances, to sharing countless memories with her band family, Bailey has made an incredible impact on the Georgetown High School Band.

We are so proud of everything Bailey has accomplished and can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes her! 💙
