About
Ten years after graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design a reunion exhibition was organized titled At Second Glance: SCAD Alumni Photography Exhibition, MFA Class of 2002. The show was held in 2013 at the Pei Ling Chan Gallery in Savannah, Georgia. Many classmates and friends descended upon Savannah for the gallery reception. For many this was the first time back in Savannah since graduation.

The photographs featured in Low Country Revisited are works created in response to this return to Savannah by Ryan Flathau, Nicole Jacobs, Darrell Kincer, Gray Lyons and Linda Wilson. For those that have not visited the Low Country, it is a magical place that permeates the soul, creating a lifelong bond. This bond continually beckons for your return.

The University of Kentucky School of Art & Visual Studies throws open its doors to the public each holiday season. The Bluegrass community is invited to come discover UK's talented young artists at the popular Open Studio annual event. See what the university's student and faculty artists have been creating and shop for one-of-a-kind items at Reynolds Building Number 1, located at 349 Scott St. in what was a huge to***co warehouse. December 5, 2014 will be the last Open Studio held in this building. In 2015 Open Studio will be held in the Bolivar Art Center.

During Open Studio, the public can visit UK student and faculty artists' studios. The event gives individuals an opportunity to see the various media of artwork created by UK’s undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty. Media on display will include metalwork, fiber, paintings, photographs, drawings, ceramics, plaster casts, printmaking and woodwork.

The Cincinnati Fotofocus Biennial is coming up in a few weeks, featuring numerous exhibitions, lectures, and photography opportunities from October 8–November 1, with most of the events occurrung during our Fall Break (Oct. 8–12). I attended in 2012 and had a wonderful experience gallery hopping in downtown Cinci.

Super big congratulations to our very own Sheldyn Duff whose work was juried into the regional student show. Her work and others will be on display at the Findlay Street Project Space with an opening reception on Saturday, October 11 from 11 AM–2 PM.
