Fear is part of the process when you're reaching for a big dream.
Every dream comes with moments of uncertainty, doubt, and questions about whether you're capable. That's normal. The goal isn't to eliminate fear. The goal is to keep moving despite it.
Big dreams aren't built in a day. They're built through small, consistent steps taken over and over again. One decision. One action. One step forward at a time.
Don't let fear make your choices for you.
Let your dream be the reason you keep going.
What's one small step you can take today toward the dream that's been on your heart?

Sometimes communication feels like paddling a canoe upstream.
Whether you're communicating up, down, or across an organization, there are times when it feels like no one wants to hear what you have to say. You share your perspective, explain your reasoning, and offer a recommendation, yet nothing seems to change.
Here's what I've learned: your responsibility is to communicate clearly and honestly. Your responsibility is not to control the decision someone else makes.
Do your research. Share what you know. Provide your perspective. Recommend the next step.
Then let go.
Every leader, manager, or decision-maker has the right to make their own choice, even if it isn't the choice you would make.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower once said, "You do not lead by hitting people over the head. That's assault, not leadership."
If you've already made your point, repeating it over and over is often less about communication and more about trying to get your own way.
Focus on what you can control: • Preparation• Communication• Perspective• Professionalism
Let go of what you cannot control: • Other people's decisions• Other people's reactions• Outcomes that belong to someone else
When you've done your homework and communicated what you believe is best, you've fulfilled your responsibility.
The rest is not yours to carry.

Last night, we officially crossed the halfway point of Launch and Scale.
The content was absolutely fire.
We had ProMedia Group join us to share practical marketing strategies and insights. We also learned from The Cultivated Growth Network and explored the incredible SEEDS Framework for selling.
Beyond the learning, participants completed three more sections of their business plans, bringing their ideas one step closer to reality.
What made the evening even more impactful was that both presenters stayed afterward to mentor participants at their tables, alongside Indiana Small Business Development Center (Indiana SBDC) Nicole L. Driscoll, MSM .
Amazing night. Amazing content. Amazing people investing in the success of local entrepreneurs.

When you accomplish something big, it’s easy to feel on top of the world. But just like this turtle on a fence post, none of us gets there alone.
Strong leaders recognize the people who helped them along the way. They also know when to ask for help.
Too often, we convince ourselves we have to handle everything on our own because we don’t want to appear weak or incapable. Asking for help isn’t a weakness. It’s wisdom.
Not only can it help you reach the goal faster, but it gives someone else the opportunity to contribute, feel valued, and be part of something meaningful.
This week, challenge yourself to ask one person for help. You might be surprised by what happens.

Productive vs. Busy
As I reflected on Q3, I've been thinking about the difference between being productive and just being busy.
When I look back on the quarter, what did I actually move forward? What made real progress? And what was simply filling my time?
If I'm being honest, it was probably about a 60/40 split.
I made progress on some things that mattered. But I also spent time on things that were easier to tackle while putting off some of the harder work. Funny how that happens.
The reality is, most of us will choose five easy tasks over one hard one. The easy tasks give us a sense of accomplishment. We get to cross things off the list and feel productive.
But it's usually that one hard thing that's going to create the biggest impact.
For me, that's the lesson I'm taking into Q4.
I'm identifying the things I've been avoiding and breaking them down into smaller pieces so they don't feel quite so overwhelming. Progress doesn't require doing it all at once. It just requires taking the next step.
After all, how do you eat an elephant?
One bite at a time.
What's one thing you've been putting off that would make the biggest difference if you finally started on it?

My Thinking Chair

The idea for my Thinking Chair came straight from John Maxwell’s Thinking for a Change. He talks about creating a space where you think with purpose instead of hoping clarity will just show up.

So I started doing that. Each morning I sit in this chair to do my gratitude journal and Bible study. It’s a place where it’s just me, my Bible and IPad to write on. It’s starting the day with peace and knowing God’s got this.

Do you have a spot in your house you can do this? It’s amazing how your body and mind react by your environment.
