Wilson Fiddle Method

Directions Website

Wilson Fiddle Method Online Fiddle instruction for all ages and ability levels. The method was created by fiddle teacher/professional fiddle player Andrew Wilson.

The method is based on four principals:

1. Developing technique through tunes that are enjoyable to play and building a repertoire in the process

2. Developing the ability to learn more quickly and retain tunes through ear-training

3. Applying that technique and ear-training to playing with others, creating music and feeling comfortable in most musical situations

4. Helping the student develop their own unique sound and style

A bit of C minor in this twisty reel. I only played through it one time…I like to push my luck but this one is treacherous!

One of my absolute favorites. I accidentally used my teaching fiddle but that means you can see where my fingers are landing in case you want to lift this version off for yourself. lol!

Andrew Wilson and I are playing in Georgetown tomorrow night! It's a late night listening/have a drink and a little snack from the kitchen show on the Georgetown Square, and we'd just be thrilled to see some familiar faces in the room 😃🎹🎻

My newest tune obsession is this groovy little hornpipe by Charlie Lennon: Dance of the Honeybees. Hope y’all are having a great week!
