Cantera Montessori School / MSOSV TX

In two days, our kindergarteners at Cantera & Crescent Montessori will take the stage.

They have spent this year writing their own stories, building their button trees, and filling their scrapbooks with evidence of who they are becoming. On Friday, June 12th, we celebrate all of it at the Moving Up Ceremony.

Families, grandparents, and loved ones are all warmly invited. It is going to be a beautiful afternoon.

Our Cantera Montessori Kindergarten students recently enjoyed their final field trip of the school year with a visit to the Creative Playscape playground in Georgetown, Texas.

The day was filled with adventure, exploration, and plenty of opportunities to connect with friends as the children climbed, played, imagined, and celebrated all they have accomplished this year.

As our Kindergarteners prepare for their next educational journey, we are proud of the confidence, independence, and love of learning they have developed throughout their time at Cantera Montessori.

Summer starts Monday at MSOSV, and we are ready.

On June 8th, we kick off our Summer Curriculum with a deep dive into Habitats. Forests, rainforests, deserts, and oceans are waiting to be explored. Same teachers. Same classrooms. Same Montessori structure. Just a whole new world on the horizon.

The best kind of summer learning is the kind that does not feel like learning at all.

Friday we wrapped up the school year, but we have lots to look forward to with our summer curriculum on Habitats starting Monday, June 8th!

A quick reminder for our MSOSV families: starting June 8th, lesson notifications in Transparent Classroom will be paused for the summer.

Your photos, daily updates, and weekly newsletter continue as normal. Lesson recordings are still available if you want to access them. We are just using the summer to run some backend updates so everything is ready to go when the new school year starts in mid-August.

Think of it as Transparent Classroom taking its own summer reboot. Your child’s learning continues without any interruption in the classroom.

Something big is coming for our kindergarteners at Cantera and Crescent Montessori.

On Friday, June 12th, we will gather to celebrate the completion of our kindergarteners' year with a Moving Up Ceremony. Families, mark your calendars. Details are on their way.

Last Friday, our Cantera kindergarteners visited Georgetown Fire Department Station 5 for their monthly field trip, and it delivered.

Station 5 runs an aerial ladder truck, rescue units, dive boats, swift water boats, and more. Our kids got up close with all of it, and they had questions for every single piece of equipment. That is exactly what a year of Montessori kindergarten trains you to do.

Saturday at Cantera was exactly what we hoped it would be.

Preschoolers explored real trucks, sat in driver’s seats, touched controls, and spent two hours being completely, thoroughly in their element. The questions they asked were incredible. The faces they made were even better.

Touch A Truck at Cantera Montessori is this Saturday, May 16th, from 10am to 12pm. If your little one has ever wanted to climb in a real truck, touch a real vehicle, and spend a morning doing exactly what their curiosity tells them to do, this is the morning for them.

Teacher Appreciation Week wrapped up Friday, and what a week it was.

Our families at each MSOSV campus showed up for our teaching teams in the most beautiful ways. Flowers, cards, favorite treats, lunches, and so much love were delivered every single day. Our teachers received their MSOSV canvas bags, branded t-shirts, and plenty of coffee to fuel the week.

These are the people who greet your children every morning with warmth, who know their work and their growth, and who care deeply about every child in their classroom. We are grateful for them every single day.
