🎓✨Another school year has come to a close at Legacy Academy.

Last Friday, students, families, and faculty gathered one final time to celebrate a year filled with learning, growth, friendships, accomplishments, and God's faithfulness. Together, we reflected on the many experiences that shaped this year—from classroom lessons and chapel to field trips, House competitions, performances, and service opportunities.

Our end-of-year gathering included student recognition, special awards, faculty appreciation, and a look back at the memories that made this year so meaningful. It was a joyful reminder that education is about far more than academics. It is about cultivating wisdom, virtue, and a love for what is good, true, and beautiful.

As we watched the year-end video and celebrated the accomplishments of our students, we were reminded of how much can happen in a single school year—and how grateful we are to share that journey together.

Thank you to our students, families, faculty, staff, and supporters for helping make this year such a blessing. We praise God for His faithfulness and look forward with excitement to all that next year will bring.

Have a wonderful summer, Legacy families!

🏆✨One of the most anticipated days of the year at Legacy Academy is Field Day and the awarding of the House Cup.

Throughout the year, students earn points for their houses through academics, service, participation, and special events. Field Day brings the year to an exciting close as houses come together for a day filled with teamwork, friendly competition, encouragement, and school spirit.

One of the things we love most about the House System is the way it brings students together across grade levels. Older students encourage younger students, friendships grow, and everyone works together toward a common goal. Students aren't simply part of a grade level—they are part of a community.

While a House Cup is awarded the next day, some of the greatest victories can't be measured in points. We saw students cheering one another on, celebrating each other's successes, and demonstrating perseverance, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

It was a wonderful way to conclude another year of learning, growth, and community at Legacy Academy.

⚓✨The past felt a little closer for our students during a recent field trip to The Lewes Historical Society.

Throughout the morning, students explored the rich history of our local community through a variety of hands-on experiences. They sang sea shanties, toured historic buildings, learned about life along Delaware's coast, and even received sailor identification tattoos similar to those used by mariners of the past.

One of the joys of learning history is discovering that it is the story of real people, real places, and real communities. Experiences like these help students connect what they learn in the classroom with the world around them and gain a deeper appreciation for the place they call home.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff and volunteers at the Lewes Historical Society for sharing their knowledge, enthusiasm, and hospitality. Our students had a wonderful time, and we are grateful for the memorable experience they provided.

💙✨Day of Service is always one of the most meaningful days of the year at Legacy Academy.

Students spent the morning serving in a variety of ways throughout the community—from helping at Peaceful Woods Farm, LLC , to caring for animals at the Brandywine Valley SPCA by making treats and toys, to working outdoors at Calvary Baptist Church.

It was encouraging to watch students serve with joy, work diligently, and care for others in practical ways throughout the day. Moments like these remind us that education is not only about growing in knowledge, but also about growing in compassion, responsibility, and love for our neighbors.

This week's Latin class transported students back to ancient Rome.

Students created their own Roman-style sandals, dressed the part, and stepped into the world they have been studying together in class. What began as a lesson in language and history quickly turned into a class full of excitement, creativity, and imagination.

Moments like these remind us that some of the most meaningful learning happens when students are able to actively engage with what they are studying, not simply read about it. We love seeing curiosity come alive in the classroom as students connect history, culture, and language in memorable ways.

Our final chapel of the school year was such an encouraging time together.

Mr. Brittingham led students through a review of many of the truths, lessons, and Scripture they studied throughout the year in chapel. Students were engaged, eager to participate, and did a wonderful job recalling what they had learned.

It was a meaningful reminder of how much they have learned this year, and we are thankful for the many ways God has been at work in the hearts and minds of our students throughout the school year.

Science class got a little colorful this week!

Students explored the layers of the Earth by creating their own models with Play-Doh as part of their science lesson. From the crust to the core, it was a fun hands-on way to help bring what they were learning to life.

We love seeing students build, explore, and apply what they’re learning in meaningful ways. Moments like these not only strengthen understanding, but also help cultivate curiosity and wonder about the world God has created.

🎭 That's a wrap!

✨The students did a wonderful job bringing Narnia to life on stage for a full house Friday night. The result was truly magical! Thank you to everyone who helped make this production possible. The show may be over, but the memories and experience will last a lifetime.

We’re still reflecting on what a special evening Friday was at the Legacy Academy Dinner.

It was such a joy to be in a room filled with people who care deeply about this school. Sharing a meal, catching up, and being reminded of the mission we’re all a part of.

We’re incredibly grateful for the many ways our community showed up. Whether you prayed, invited others, volunteered your time, attended, or gave generously, it all mattered.

By God’s provision, over $30,000 was given to the Annual Fund, along with more than $70,000 toward student scholarships. We don’t take that lightly.

Thank you for being part of what God is doing at Legacy.
