Mr. Hillman and the entire GMS family would like to say farewell, but certainly not goodbye. This goes out to Mrs. Kimberly Lloyd.

Mrs. Lloyd, thank you for everything you have poured into Georgetown Middle School. Your leadership, dedication, and determination have made a lasting impact. From helping raise our testing scores and implementing initiatives to boost school morale, to continuously pushing our staff and students to strive for greatness...you have truly left your mark on GMS.

Whatever this next chapter holds, we pray that success is written all over it! We know that the same passion, drive, and excellence you brought to GMS will continue to make a difference wherever you go.

No Taxation Without Representation! 🇺🇸

Mr. Harrington’s and Ms. Ballard’s Social Studies classes stepped back into 1773 for a Boston Tea Party with Mrs. Cox in the library!

No tea was thrown overboard, but there was plenty of tea, cookies, and Revolutionary thinking! Students put their Social Studies knowledge to work as they deciphered secret codes, reviewed taxation and the events surrounding the Boston Tea Party, and explored Patriot and Loyalist perspectives.

History is a lot more fun when you can sip it, solve it, and experience it! 🫖🍪

• *Friday:* Player, Johnson & Powers – 1st Block

Our kayaking field trips begin next week!
• Monday: Duncan, Lopes, & Hucks – 1st Block
• Tuesday: Player, Johnson & Powers – 1st Block
• Wednesday: Weissmeier, Baldwin & Seale – 1st Block
Students should have received reminder slips with important information. Please ask your student about these reminders!
🌧️ Unfortunately, the weather is not looking promising for Monday and possibly Tuesday. Please check this page for updates. I will post updates as soon as possible regarding any changes.
