📚💻 15 DAYS IN… and the GMS Library is already BUSY! 💻📚

The first 15 days of school have been a whirlwind—and we wouldn’t have it any other way! 🤩

💻 Nearly 700 Chromebooks dispersed (Thanks Mrs. Sumpter for organizing the Chromebook dispersal!)
🪪 Almost 700 student IDs printed
🛠️ Countless technology work orders
🚪 65 class visits
📚 1,000+ book checkouts!

And we’ve been doing WAY more than checking out books!

✨ 6th Grade: Library orientation, reader interest surveys, Destiny scavenger hunts & genre personality quizzes
🌎 7th Grade: Raced Across the Americas in an AMAZING geography challenge + checkout
📖 8th Grade: Getting back into the books with checkout visits

As you know, BIG BLUE almost always does things BIG! 💙 Over 80 students showed up for FCA, and what a GREAT way to kick off the school year!

And guess what? THEY DIDN’T EVEN HAVE DONUTS! 😂🍩

The students came because they wanted to be there, fellowship, connect, and start the year on a positive note. Now THAT’S what we love to see! 🙌🏽

Our Bulldog Crew is HERE and gearing up for ANOTHER BIG BLUE YEAR, and guess what? You STILL have time to join!
For just $10, you can be part of the GMS PTO and help support our students and school. And if you’re not able to join but still want to contribute, you can donate too! Either way, our students benefit from your support. 💙

BIG BLUE IS MAKING LEARNING AN ADVENTURE! 💙🐾🌎

Mrs. J. Cox has done it again! 🙌🏾 As always, that’s just how we do it at The Blue! 💙

And Mr. Barron took his Social Studies class UP A NOTCH with an exciting AMAZING RACE — Race Across the Americas! 🏃🏾‍♀️🌎🏃🏾‍♂️

Students traveled across North, Central, and South America as they explored countries, landforms, landmarks, and so much more—all while putting their knowledge, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to the test!

Who says learning can't be FUN?! 👏🏾
