OAA Alumni Reunion Weekend is coming up October 16–17!

We’re looking forward to welcoming alumni and friends back to campus for a weekend of reconnecting, reminiscing, and spending time together.

Friday evening, Pastor Nathaniel Oregon, Class of 2001, will be our speaker. Nathaniel is an Arkansas native and currently pastors the Dalton Seventh-day Adventist Church in Georgia. He and his wife, April, began dating while they were students at OAA, and this year he returns to celebrate 25 years since graduation.

For Sabbath worship, Jackson Whitacre, Class of 1976, will be our speaker. Jackson has remained active in church and community service over the years and currently serves as a chaplain with Racers for Christ. He has also served OAA through the Alumni Association, and this year he returns to celebrate 50 years since graduation.

We hope you’ll make plans to join us for Alumni Reunion Weekend. We’d love to see you back at Ozark!

On Saturday evening, September 19, Ozark Adventist Academy welcomed five new members into our chapter of the National Honor Society.

The National Honor Society recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. We’re proud of these students and the commitment they have shown in each of these areas.

The ceremony was live-streamed and is available to watch here. https://www.youtube.com/live/jVBr1v2eM38?si=JLlv-3b-7afd6BRB

OAA has started something new this year called the Welcome Table.

The program pairs each freshman with a senior, giving students an opportunity to get to know someone from another class and helping our newest students feel a little more at home on campus.

Once each quarter, the seniors and freshmen gather for a Welcome Table meal in the cafeteria, where they can eat together, visit, and continue building those connections.

We’re thankful for our seniors who are taking the time to welcome and encourage the newest members of the OAA family, and we appreciate the cafeteria staff making a special dessert for the welcome table meal.

We are excited to share that Trevin Hoskinson and Christina Needham have joined our OAA team part-time. Trevin is returning to OAA in his role as Assistant Boys' Dean. Christina is also a familiar face on campus, volunteering over the past few years as an assistant gymnastics coach.

Both Trevin and Christina have a heart for young people and are excited to serve as assistant deans and invest in the lives of our students. We are grateful to have them as a part of our OAA team and look forward to the positive impact they will have in these important roles.
