🏆 WELCOME TO TEAM COMPETITION TIME! 🏆

We’re excited to introduce a new Flex Friday tradition at Gentry Intermediate School — Team Competition Time (TCT)! ❤️🖤

Each month, our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade homerooms will go head-to-head in a variety of fun challenges, with one class in each grade earning the “Tiny But Mighty” Pioneer Cup! 🏆

For our first TCT, students competed in:

🥉 3rd Grade: Rock, Paper, Scissors
🔎 4th Grade: Speed Word Search
🧩 5th Grade: Speed Puzzling

Congratulations to our first champions! 🎉

🏆 3rd Grade — Miss Hillis’ Class
🏆 4th Grade — Miss Gil’s Class
🏆 5th Grade — Miss Smith’s Class

But TCT is about more than winning. It’s about teamwork, communication, encouragement, friendly competition — and having a LOT of fun together!

We’re already planning the next challenge. Who will take home the Pioneer Cup next month? 👀🏆

REMINDER: Gentry Middle School and Gentry High School will host a School Handbook Review Night on Tuesday, August 18 at 6:00 p.m. in the GHS Auditorium. We’ll review important policies and topics including attendance, communication, student expectations, safety procedures, anti-bullying information, and other school processes. While some information will be specific to GMS/GHS, all K–12 parents and guardians are welcome!

📣 HAC Grade Access Update

HAC is now available for middle and high school families to access student grades. Access codes have been emailed to new families, and returning families should use their existing HAC login credentials. If you have questions or need help accessing your account, please contact your child's school for assistance. You can find an information page in the comments.

🚗 Traffic Alert

As we kick off the new school year, we wanted to give families a friendly heads up that traffic is typically a little slower during the first week of school.

With hundreds of new students and families joining Gentry Public Schools this year, and as one of Arkansas' fastest growing school districts, many drivers will be learning our campuses and traffic patterns for the first time.

Please plan to leave a few minutes early, allow for a little extra travel time, and extend patience and grace to one another. This is a normal part of the first week, and traffic flow usually improves quickly as everyone settles into their routines.

You can also find campus traffic flow maps in our Back-to-School Guide to help make your arrival as smooth as possible. Thank you for helping us make the start of the school year safe and successful for everyone.
