As this 2020-2021 school year ends we want to give a shout-out to the founding media students for everything you have done for us. We want to thank both librarians we had this year Mrs.Brown and Ms.Chenault all of the founding media students will be going on to high school so thank you.

Since the departure of Mrs.Brown, we have got a new library teacher Mrs.Chenault She loves reading, creating, and learning about new things and we are happy to have her on the GMS Media team, but the Media group has started a new project we will be making editing and producing stop motion films students will make their ideas come to life and this is all their ideas. Students have come up with the weirdest and wackiest stuff including one kid who is designing a stop motion film of a group of friends that love potions of.“wacky juice” But with all that going on something must come to the end sadly GMS Media will not be doing the morning announcements again this year. This was a hard decision to make for everyone in the media class.

Mrs. Chenault is the new Library Media Specialist. She loves reading, creating, and learning about new things and we are happy to have her at GMS!

Friday is Mrs.Browns last day, she is a teacher OF the media class. We the media class will miss her dearly for everything she has done for us. If you are in the middle school stop by the library to say bye.

NO SCHOOL-Thanksgiving Break 23-27th of November!

GMS will dismiss early on Friday, November 20, 2020, at 1:23 pm. This early dismissal will allow students, staff, and parents time to travel to Monticello and support our Pioneers as they play in the first round of the state playoffs. Go, Pioneers!

REMEMBER

All buildings will be closed this Friday, October 23, 2020. This will allow a deep clean of buildings and allow teachers and students time to catch up. This day will be considered an instructional day for PVLA and ON-SITE students, and your child will have a Pioneer Project uploaded to their Google Classroom. GMS teachers will share more information about the project with students this week in their Encore class.
