Tax evaluations for 2024 came out . . . .. remember those of you that live in town and wanted a school that barely pay anything in taxes. remember that $150 per $100,000 assessed value for this school bond. Seems like some houses went up maybe $50k to $75k. REMEMBER NOT TO PROTEST YOUR TAXES YOU VOTED FOR A SCHOOL YOU WANTED! The people that have more then a little shed and a house and some personal property evaluations came in really HIGH!

Even the teachers we didnt see any of them agree to have a pay raise freeze to support the school but they yelled from the gymnasium in support of it!

DON'T FORGET TO VOTE TOMORROW!

Word on the streets the vote for the school bond committee members are getting everyone to vote in the nursing home to try to get more yes votes for the school bond.

It's interesting to see and hear others opinions on this matter of topic. For some that don't pay any taxes in the district and have a voice on the matter just like the former superintendent Jason Schapman and Nance county journal Co-owner Rick Holtz who also is involved in other local newspapers. (Former superintendent and new superintendent will get paid milage driving to and from school since they don't live in the district)

If anyone attended any of the meetings over the times of the school bond and proposal one question that sticks out the MOST?! "How many kids have opted out of the district?". Mr schapman answered "64 this past year alone but we have 26 students that have opted in this wonderful school". As pointed out in in Mr. Rick Holtz article to support the Twin River School Bond last week in the paper. Clearly indicating "that if this school bond doesn't pass that there is dark days ahead for this district"

Someone Ring the bell the ALARM has already RUNG!!! Of those 26 kids that opted in how many are teachers/staffs kids and how many others got kicked out of other school districts?(there is certainly a few coming from Columbus). Let's just say maybe half of that? So for the 64 kids that are going to other school districts how many are fed up with the past/present administration and staff? How many are fed up with policy's of the school and how many were bullied and picked on so bad. Some are probably are fed up with the politics of other parents running the "sports" show.

Sounds like the families of those 64 kids that are opted out of the district the parents made decisions regarding those things clearly they thought they could get a BETTER EDUCATION AND OPPORTUNITIES SOMEWHERE ELSE or even homeschooled!! VOTE NO!

If anyone attended any of the open houses asked questions and been informed . . . . Everytime someone asked the school bond financial advisor something he keeps on changing how much everything costs like bond payment interest loan amount (3 million, 2.8, and now 2.4 million), and price per acre. Again he was saying prices are going to be below $5 for irrigated farm ground (what the pamphlet that was mailed out to all district homeowners). WHICH IS A LIE!!!! If that was the case the school bond wouldn't be almost $40 million!!

Any time you ask HALF of the school board members what the price is per acre or per accessed value, what's the levy for the school bond they don't have a clue. ALL of them are elected from GENOA (AREA). It's a lot of misinformation getting out to the public and want people to be AFRAID to vote against it once again. The school isn't in shambles like clearly they supporters/committees of the bond are saying it is. There's supposedly bricks falling off the building and hitting kids which clearly is a lie. They keep gaslighting how bad the school is don't use certain rooms when they say they don't have the space.

The special building levy they claim they will drop off the bond if passes thru. They will drop this levy by 10 cents or whatever they are claiming but in a few years they can enact it once again for repairs/maintenance of the school. JUST BE INFORMED!!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST the school had a testimony statement posted on there page from some residents in the Summerland school district stating that the communities of Ewing, Orchard, Royal and Clearwater have come together and worked well together once they merged to formed there new school. What it fails to mention is that a BRAND NEW SCHOOL WAS BUILT OUT IN THE COUNTRY IN BETWEEN THE COMMUNITIES! It wasn't built in just one town to benefit one town only!

Again be informed!!! All misinformation is leading to LIES!

Here's the financial figures for the school district of twin rivers. Called and verified the county assessor in Platte county. Don't believe it call all the county assessor yourself.

Platte county taxes funds roughly 46% of twin River School district. 36% is just from the farm/ag land taxes.

Irrigated farm ground is $16.02/acre $2563.89 for 160 acres (a quarter of ground) compared to what the school is saying $4.17/acre which is $667.20 for 160 acres (a quarter of ground. Almost $2k more a year for taxes

Dryland farm ground is $13.63/acre $2180.44 for 160 acres compared to what the school is saying of $3.37/ acre which is $539.20 for 160 acres. $1500 a year difference.

Per $100k assessed value of a property it's going to be $376 a year compared to $150/year. $226 more a year! Can you afford this with taxes and insurance going up every year already?!?!
