Geneva Tango Geneva Tango in Geneva NY is an Argentine Tango Community offering tango lessons most Fridays.

We are a warm inclusive community, united in the love of Argentine tango, and welcome all levels, from beginners to experienced. We are a community of all ages, backgrounds, walks of life, and dancing abilities, with the sole purpose to enjoy ARGENTINE TANGO. Our CLASSES are taught by experienced tango instructors, beginning with a class for absolute beginners at 7:00PM followed with a class for Intermediate/Advanced dancers at 8:15. We also have practicas to practice the moves we just learned in previous weeks. And once a month, we have a MILONGA(a social dance), from 8:00 PM to midnight. All our activities take place in the amazing dance studio of the the Smith Opera House, with a beautiful view of downtown Geneva and Seneca lake in the the background. Ample parking across the street, and many venues for food, drinks and live music within a few steps of the studio.

Dear tango enthusiasts,

The Ithaca Tangueros intend to start a monthly milonga sequence again, the Milonga de la Quebrada with associated class. The first milonga will be this Saturday, August 29.
We would love to dance with you in Ithaca,

A week ago already, about 20 tango dancers From Utica to Rochester and more met at the visitor to dance Argentine Tango. The weather was superb, the light exquisite, and the tandas, with DJ Oleg's tunes, delicious.

ANNOUNCEMENT: There will not be a Lakeside milonga this coming Friday, July 31, as previously announced. But keep heart, Geneva Tango will host two free Lakeside milongas in August: August 14, and 28. So keep your schedule open, and come and dance on the water while enjoying beautiful sunset. A couple of pictures of past Lakeside milongas will remind you of the kind of magic this will be and wet your appetite.

We have been off line too long.
Geneva Tango is alive and planning its Summer milongas.
But before these announcements, why not enjoy pictures from our last SPRING MILONGA, our MAY DAY MILONGA, because, YES, we had a lot of fun in our Smith Opera House dance studio, with 30 to 40 dancers enjoying the opportunity to dance with dancers coming from the East , the Center, and the West of Upstate New York.
