Monster Math!

I don’t teach math very often so it’s been refreshing to get to teach it again!
We used monsters to work through “more than” and “less than” statements and simple sums.

A few days late, but still as grateful for our students and their families! Each session in November students wrote what they were grateful for on a feather and we created this turkey together. It was so much fun to watch it grow!!

Reluctant learner? No problem.

One of my favorite parts of tutoring is that we can meet students exactly where they’re at. This student hasn’t been motivated lately, but loves to talk about WWE wrestling. Tutoring became a WWE showdown and the learning that was done that day was exponential!

I tell students I can turn “anything into a learning game!” It’s easy and it’s fun which leads to better growth!

Everyone is back to school and we are back at those evening and weekend tutoring hours!
