The Food Security Advocates are continuing their yearly Turkey Drive for needy families in the Livingston County area. Donations will go to turkeys and other Thanksgiving dinner items for low-income families who receive service through the Geneseo/Groveland Food Pantry.

As many of you likely know, the Covid-19 pandemic has increased poverty and food insecurity around the nation. Now, more than ever, it is essential to help those in need. While we cannot table in-person as we usually would, we still hope to be able to help fundraise as much as possible for Geneseo/Groveland Food Pantry. Even if you can only give a few dollars, that would still be incredibly helpful! We have raised enough money for 30 turkeys in the past, and hope to get nearly that many this year too!

You can donate through the venmo account , or through the QR code in the attached flyer. In the college union you can also find a table where we will be keeping track of how many turkeys Geneseo is able to raise money for! (Ten dollars equals one turkey).

The office of student volunteerism and student engagement is holding a toy drive from now until the end of the semester! Toys that are donated will be gifted to children in the area whose parents/guardians may not be able to afford holiday gifts.

Donations should be new, unwrapped toys, books, games, clothing, etc. for youth age 0-18 (no toy weapons will be accepted) and should be dropped off in the Center for Community - CU 353 - anytime during the week, 8:00 am - 4:15 pm.

Next week the Red Cross will be conducting a two-day blood drive on November 11 & 12!

ALL DONORS will receive a $5 Amazon egiftcard, a Save Around coupon book AND be in the running for a $100 Wegmans gift card!
