Good morning everybody! What a wonderful day to listen to some music in the park! 1230 to 2 PM! This will be my 10th music fest in Geneseo! Yep, you heard it. I’ve been here for 10 years and it has felt like just a couple. The time has flown. The laughter has flowed. The music has poured out of my heart and into these children in the community. I do hope you come celebrate with me today as I mark a decade of teaching music in this community. I’ve been celebrating quietly all year, but today I wanna show you what we’ve been working on downtown. I hope you can join us! Thank you everyone for 10 amazing years of musical memories you have given me and I hope in turn, I have given you 🙂 Now come and sing along! I love you all and to my students this year, once again I couldn’t be more proud of all the work you’ve accomplished! Now enjoy every minute of today and go share that music with the rest of the world! Just throw it out into the air and watch it sparkle all around you and I promise you they will come to watch. 😉

Thx to Brady for making sure I got a smile from him on the way to band practice this morning. To Imogen for the large blue slushie and a heartfelt card reminding me why I do what I do and what it means to her 💗. And to Owen for having mom bring me some donuts this morning as I spend the last day packing gear and going thru the last of theto-do’s then off to play for the Lil Miss Music Fest pageant.

The weather is going to be gorgeous!!! Come set up your chairs and listen to the kids!!
Everything from digital keyboard orchestra named Keytastrophe, to pianists, vocalists, and of course, The Fire Choir. We can’t wait to see you all!

After dozens of hrs rehearsing over the past few wks… we voted our name in today. It only won by 1 vote. They are performing in Saturday’s lineup under the bandshell. 1230pm-2pm!! This new group will round out the show for the Finale. Meet… Geneseo Fire 🔥 Choir. The talent in this group…lalalalala….It makes my heart sing 🎵

Our last chance to do a show run thru today before our debut on Sat!! 1230-2pm Geneseo Park Bandshell. Music Fest ‘26. This show this year… WOW. Day 2 of Songbird Camp. This picture sums it up! Yep we ended the day in the park, in the humidity, and ran the finale of the Musical Memories Showcase for this yr’s Music Fest. It was hot. We were sweaty. Thx to moms who brought waters and cool treats. I’m awed at their commitment! We were high fiving and hugging at the end. It’s coming together. Mother Nature… a breeze for us tomorrow. Please!!

I Love Music Camp Week!!! I’m holding it a week early this year. I have built 2 new groups this yr. A digital keyboard orchestra and a new youth choir. T-11 days until our Music Fest Debut!!
June 20. Timeslot is 1230-2pm. The music…. The hard work these kids have put in memorizing an entire set of songs in just a few practices will warm your heart and make you smile. I hope you can come out to support the kids in the community, celebrate dads, and enjoy a wonderful weekend of activities in the park and around town!

What a beautiful day you have to graduate !!! Deep breath… to my students who are gracing that stage today… you were some of the first to start with me when I came back to town. My heart is so full for you. You are all so firmly tattooed onto my heart, I shall never forget you. You are all bound for wonderful things in this world. I believe in all of you. I always have. I always will. I love you all. Congratulations!! You made it! Onward and upward. And… as you move through leaving your footprints across the world… always remember…

1. Make music NON-NEGOTIABLE in your life and your children’s lives.
2. Use what you have been taught. Share it with the world. Put your music into this world. Music heals. Music is medicine. Music is love.
3. Don’t be that guy…
4. Remember where you came from. Come back and visit. 🙂
5. Do not forget to be BOLD. BRILLIANT. Most importantly… Humble.
