Our scholars recently explored physical and chemical changes by making ice cream in a plastic bag. As they mixed simple ingredients and used ice and salt to lower the freezing point, they created a mixture and observed how a liquid transforms into a solid through physical change.
More than a science experiment, this activity encouraged careful observation, thoughtful discussion, and wonder at the order and design within God’s creation. Even in something as simple as ice cream, students were reminded of the beauty and purpose woven into the world around them.
And our scholars said it was delicious!
