Our kindergarten class got hands-on with their letter learning and practiced writing in shaving cream! 🫧 Who knew writing could be this much fun? A little mess ➕ a lot of learning 🟰 kindergarten magic!

We welcomed students back today with our annual first day of school prayer ceremony. This year looked a little different due to the thunderstorm outside! ⛈ We pray that our students and staff have a safe, healthy and blessed school year. ✝ 🍎✏

Due to the weather, we will be holding our opening day prayer ceremony in the gym. Students will report to inside recess AS NORMAL (west door car line drop-off). Parents may wait in the gym for classes to arrive at 8:15.

Parents please drop your children off in the car line as normal. Students who enter through the main office will walk down to their classrooms and parents will wait in the gym.

Please help us in welcoming our new St. Malachy School principal, Mrs. Sarah Wolfe! Prior to joining our staff, Mrs. Wolfe taught multiple grade levels at Seton Catholic School in Moline for 23 years. She is a graduate of Alleman High School, holds a bachelor’s degree from Bradley University, and earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Creighton University. She lives in East Moline with her husband, three children and two dogs. Mrs. Wolfe says, “I have always been passionate about Catholic education and felt God calling me to a leadership role. I feel very strongly that St. Malachy’s is exactly where I am supposed to be!”
