🐺💚 What an AMAZING assembly at Haas Elementary today! 💚🐺

Today, our Haas Wolves had the opportunity to welcome Joe Olinger from Point of Break Assemblies for an exciting, high-energy, and meaningful presentation!

Through incredible feats of strength, powerful stories, and engaging demonstrations, Joe captured our students’ attention while sharing important messages about kindness, respect, bullying prevention, making positive choices, and believing in yourself! 💪

One of the most powerful reminders from today’s assembly was:

⭐ YOU are special.
💚 YOU are valuable.
🌟 There is NO ONE like YOU!

What a wonderful message for our students to hear! We loved seeing their excitement, smiles, and enthusiasm throughout the assembly. It was the perfect combination of FUN and meaningful learning!

👟💚 Joe’s generosity didn’t stop with his powerful message! He also donated over 30 pairs of BRAND-NEW shoes to Haas Elementary! These shoes will be given to students in need, helping us make a difference beyond today’s assembly. We are incredibly grateful for this thoughtful donation and his kindness toward our school community!

A HUGE thank-you to Joe Olinger and Point of Break Assemblies for spending time with our Haas Wolves, inspiring our students, and showing what it truly means to make a positive difference in the lives of others! 🐾💚

🐺💚 Flu Reminder: Help Keep Our Wolves Healthy!

Haas Families,

We are beginning to see cases of influenza (flu) in our school community, and we want to work together to help keep our students, staff, and families healthy. Flu can spread very easily, especially in a school setting.

Please watch your child for signs of illness before sending them to school. Flu symptoms often come on suddenly and may include:

* 🤒 Fever or chills
* 🤕 Headache or body aches
* 😷 Cough
* 🤧 Runny or stuffy nose
* 😣 Sore throat
* 😴 Unusual tiredness or weakness
* 🤢 Sometimes vomiting or diarrhea, especially in children

If your child is sick, please keep them home. Children with a fever should remain home until they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and are feeling well enough to participate in a normal school day.

We are also reminding our Wolves to help stop the spread of germs by:

🧼 Washing hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
💪 Coughing or sneezing into a tissue or their elbow
🙌 Keeping hands away from their eyes, nose, and mouth
🥤 Not sharing drinks, water bottles, food, or utensils
🧴 Using hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available
😴 Getting plenty of rest and drinking lots of fluids

If your child will be absent due to illness, please call the Haas Elementary Office at 810-591-2101. A doctor’s note can be provided so the absence can be medically excused.

💚 Need medical support? Our Mott Children’s Wolves Wellness Center is conveniently located right here at school. Families can call 810-213-8190 with questions or to schedule an appointment.

Thank you for helping us keep our Haas Wolves healthy! 🐺💚
