BEHIND THE SCENES: What it takes to Keep Our Students Safe! 🚌

A lot of work goes into keeping our school running safely and smoothly. Some of that work happens before students ever step onto a school bus!

Recently, our school district took part of an In-Service Bus Driver Training, giving our transportation team an opportunity to review important safety procedures, strengthen their skills, and stay prepared for the responsibility of safely transporting our students.

We’re grateful to the dedicated staff and Genesee community members who took the time (5 Hours) to complete this training and continue working behind the scenes to support our students and families. Their commitment is an important part of what makes our school community strong.

A special thank you to Greg Moser, our Transportation Director, and Art Lindquist, for capturing these photos, to help us share a glimpse of the work happening throughout our school community!

Join us on Thursday, August 20, 2026, for our annual Back to School Night! Students and their families are invited to come meet their teacher, drop off school supplies, and get excited for the new school year.

Elementary Students PK-5th Grade from 4-6PM
***Middle/High School Students 6-12th Grade from 5-7PM***
6th Grade Parent Meeting at 6PM in Main Gym

🌭 Hot dogs and a sweet treat will be provided!

📍 Families and students can gather in the front parking lot of the school (weather permitting) to enjoy some food, connect with staff, and celebrate the start of another great year at Genesee Schools.

We can't wait to welcome everyone back and kick off an amazing school year together! 💙💛

It's time to start getting ready for another great school year! School supply lists for the 2026–2027 school year are now available.

Be sure to check the list for your student's grade level and start gathering supplies before the first day of school. Having the right supplies helps students start the year prepared and ready to learn!

Genesee Joint School District is seeking a Community School Coordinator to help strengthen partnerships between our school, families, and the wider community. This is a grant-funded, full-time position starting in August, 2026.

💰Pay: $40,000 to $45,000 DOE
📅Contract: 205 days
