Yes ❤️❤️❤️ So much magic happens when we give children the room to play. I listened to talk recently that said when adults give children lots of unstructured time, the children will start to structure it. Every game, scene or neighbourhood sporting match has negotiated rules, rhythm and structure. When we were at the park over the summer I saw just how magical it could be. Six children who were complete strangers organized themselves around a water pump and sandbox. They all rotated between dam builders and water pumpers with a synchronicity that I doubt most adults could achieve. The truth is, the power of play is truly incredible.
