❤️ Help Support Salt + Light Learning Co-Op! ❤️

As we continue growing Salt + Light Learning Co-Op, two of our biggest needs are supporting our teachers and providing meaningful field trips and enrichment opportunities for our students.

Our current goal is to raise $900 per month:

🍎 $400 — Teacher Support
🚌 $500 — Field Trips & Enrichment

We are looking for local businesses, churches, families, and individuals who would consider becoming monthly sponsors. Even $25, $50, or $100 a month can make a huge difference when our community comes together!

Donations help us keep dedicated teachers working with our students and allow our kids to experience hands-on learning outside of the classroom through field trips and enrichment activities.

If you own a business, attend a church that supports local youth and education, or simply feel led to help, we would be incredibly grateful for your support.

❤️ Our goal isn’t just to teach children — it’s to give them opportunities to learn, explore, grow, and thrive.

We are so excited to have Sydney as part of our team!!

Meet Sydney Sipriano, a certified teacher with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has more than three years of kindergarten classroom experience and is trained in phonics-based instruction.

Over the past year, Sydney has provided private instruction from her home to children ranging in age from 3 to 10. This experience has allowed her to remain home with her daughter while continuing to help children reach their full potential. She is passionate about providing students with the academic skills, independence, and confidence they need to succeed in any school environment.

Sydney has a genuine love for children and recognizes that every child learns differently. She is hardworking, dependable, patient, and committed to creating a positive and encouraging environment where students feel supported, valued, and excited to learn. She especially values the individualized attention that homeschooling provides and enjoys tailoring instruction to meet each child’s unique needs.

Sydney believes that every child is uniquely created with purpose and potential. Her faith in Christ guides the way she approaches teaching, encouraging her to lead with patience, kindness, compassion, and a genuine desire to help each child grow both academically and personally. She strives to create an environment where students are encouraged not only to learn, but also to develop confidence, character, independence, and a love for learning.

Outside of teaching, Sydney enjoys hair artistry and is involved in local pageants, where she has the opportunity to encourage young women and help them feel confident as they pursue their goals.

Sydney and her husband live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with their daughter, who keeps them smiling every day. She considers it a privilege to pour into the lives of children and families and to help each student recognize the gifts and abilities God has given them.

Meet Jamie Carattini!! I am so excited to have her on my team!

Jamie Carattini is a licensed educator, veteran homeschooling mother of three boys, and proud Army spouse of more than 20 years. Throughout her family’s military journey, she has developed a passion for education, discipleship, and serving families in every community they have called home. Now settled on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Jamie and her family are excited to explore the area while investing in the local homeschool community.

With years of experience in education, Jamie has served as a classroom teacher, taught English, coached cheerleading, and led numerous Bible studies for students and adults. Her background as both a licensed teacher and homeschooling parent gives her a unique ability to meet students where they are academically while fostering a love for learning in a supportive, Christ-centered environment.

Jamie is passionate about helping children grow in knowledge, confidence, character, and faith. She believes every child is uniquely created by God and is committed to encouraging each student to reach their God-given potential through engaging, hands-on learning and meaningful relationships.

Outside the classroom, Jamie enjoys reading, hiking, and preparing authentic Italian meals for her family. One of her favorite biblical accounts is the story of Ruth and Boaz, which beautifully reflects God’s faithfulness, redemption, and providence—second only to the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Jamie is honored to serve the families of Salt & Light Learning Co-Op and looks forward to partnering with parents to provide a nurturing, academically enriching, and Christ-centered educational experience for every student.

Salt + Light Learning co op in Gautier has partnered with Wayfinder Initiative for the upcoming school year! We will try to go as often as possible but we will definitely be attending at least twice per month. Attached is what they offer our homeschool community and they are awesome! The kids absolutely love it!
