• Kona Ice will be here Wednesday during all three lunches (Cost: $4 - $6)
• GAME DAY: Volleyball at Salado, Monday - wear black & gold
• GAME DAY: Cross Country (Gatesville), Wednesday - wear black & gold
• College Day: Show support of different colleges, trade schools, etc. on Wednesdays
• GHS Spirit Day Dress Up: Friday, Sept. 4 - Camo / Military (Varsity football game - home, 7:30)
• Hornet Haul: Open daily in the Reading Hallway (FREE items)
• FCA on Wednesdays
• Guitar Garage: If you have a guitar and are interested in lessons, contact Mr. Bryant (room 801) -- see graphic.
• Student Council Meeting: Wednesday morning (7:40am)

Student Spotlight: Junior High All-State Choir Members

Three Gatesville Junior High students were selected out of over 1,100 auditioning students to sing with the TCDA (Texas Choral Directors Association) Middle School / Junior High All-State Choir in July 2026.

The three students were: Tahra Fulton: Soprano; Tessa Pryor: Soprano; and Erin Petty: Alto. These students learned five challenging pieces of music, spent two and half days in rehearsals with a master clinician, and performed in a concert with 250 of the best junior high singers from all over Texas.

The concert took place in the beautiful Lila Cockrell Theatre at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.

Please join us in congratulating these talented singers for representing Gatesville Junior High at the All-State Level.
