Friendships begin early at Gilmour.
We can’t wait to welcome new and returning Lancers back to campus in just two days.
Our seniors got a head start on the school year today by doing what leaders do: showing up and pitching in.
The Class of 2027 spent the afternoon tackling projects across campus and getting Gilmour ready for the rest of the student body to arrive on Monday.
It was a fitting way for our seniors to begin their final year: giving back to the place they’ve called home and leading by example for the students who will follow in their footsteps. We’re ready for you, Lancers!

This summer, Teddy Gainar ’27 traveled with his mom and Fellowship City Church to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for a nine-day service trip.
During their time in Ethiopia, Teddy and his mom helped Life Center Outreach host a two-day VBS for local orphans, led a conference for widows and participated in leadership training for young adult orphans.
Through service, faith and connection, Teddy experienced the call to care for orphans and widows in a meaningful way. We’re proud of the way he spent his summer putting his faith into action and serving others.

This year, Lancers are coming to Gilmour from 𝟮𝟰 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, bringing experiences and perspectives from across the country and around the world to our campus.
From Alaska to Florida, Finland to China and so many places in between, they’ll come together here as classmates, teammates and friends to make one Gilmour community.

Four days until new adventures, new classes and new memories.
We’re getting close.
With a new school year comes new traditions. Inspired by Upper School Director Gina Bajzer, our new teachers marked the beginning of their Gilmour journey with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony outside their new classrooms.
As they cut their ribbons, veteran faculty and staff cheered them on, celebrating new beginnings, new colleagues and the start of a new chapter. In the spirit of this year’s theme, Hospitality: Living the Competence to See, it was a meaningful reminder that no one begins their journey alone.
