Character Education - Good Citizens of the Year, 2025-2026

At W.A. Bess Elementary School, we believe it is important to reinforce and teach the values that we expect of good citizens.

During the month of May, a boy and a girl from each class were selected by their teacher to receive the Good Citizen of the Year, 2025-2026 award.

Congratulations to our students who are recognized for being a Super Student and receiving the Outstanding “PAW ”- formance award!

Our last days of school were extra “sweet” thanks to Morris Jenkins, who generously donated and served ice cream to all of our students and staff!

Our Kindergarteners enjoyed celebrating their moms this past week with lots of smiles, hugs, and special memories!

Our teachers had a blast with today’s gift card giveaway and the excitement was everywhere! 🎉

Teachers and their students listened intently, waiting to hear if their number would be called. Cheers echoed up and down the hallways each time a winning number was announced!

Each teacher with the winning number received a $10 gift card.

The suspense, the celebration, and the smiles made the gift card giveaway so much fun.

A heartfelt thank you to our Bess families for donating the gift cards and making this special celebration possible.

Due to the overwhelming generosity of our Bess families, more winning numbers will be called next week, bringing more cheers and excitement.
