This past Friday was our official last day of school and our annual Field Day! Students competed in field games, played on the bouncy houses, and got popcorn and snow cone treats, all in celebration of the last day of the school year. A big thank you to Peppy, mascot of the Gastonia Ghost Peppers, for visiting our students that day! Congratulations to House of Saint John for winning the House cup after field day was concluded - watch the attached video to see House of St John ringing in the summer as the victors of the 25/26 school year! Thank you to all our volunteers which make this day possible 🤍🙏🏼

Today, second grade held a publishing fair for their book they wrote and illustrated - “Amazing Ocean Animals”! Students demonstrated their drawings and write ups of different sea animals, compiled together in one book. Visitors to the room were able to learn about the animals and the authors, as well as sign each second grader’s copies of the book. Listen to students’ videos to get an idea of what it was all about. Today was our annual 8th grade graduates Mass, complete with graduate processions and the Passing of the Light, in which our 8th graders pass their torch onto our 7th graders. As Father said in his homily, we are building our graduates for Heaven, and has done its job well!

Join us at Texas Roadhouse tonight, Thursday, May 21st from 4 to 10 PM for our dine and donate! This is the day our eighth graders graduate, and close to our last day of school, so come out and help us celebrate! Be sure to use the barcode or we’ll miss out! Only valid at the Remount Road location in Gastonia.

Today, a special Mass was held for two of our students, Charlotte and Michael, who received the three holy sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation. God Bless and congratulations to these two young souls on their dedication to the Catholic faith 🙏🏼🤍
