Saint Michael was honored to perform and be featured in the national program “Welcoming Children in Worship” through their performance of select hymns during the Pueri Cantores festival last spring. The SMCS/SMCC choir’s performance of such hymns as Spiritus Paraclitus, Lumen Ad Revelationem, Puer Natus, and Creator Alma Siderum (Maker of the Starry Skies) will serve to welcome children within and to the Catholic faith with sacred music. We are so proud of our choral members for their devotional singing to God and for igniting a fire in the hearts of the next generation of the Church!

Last Friday, in preparation for today’s fire drill, our campus security officer, Officer Reilly, taught students all about fire drills. After reading them a book on what a fire drill is, why we do it, and what to expect, he then played them the fire alarm sound so they would know what it meant and also be better prepared for it. He then walked them through their evacuation protocol from their classrooms to the school gym and answered any questions students had about the entire process. Our Lower School is now such much more prepared for a fire drill and everything it entails, including the loud and scary (and often sudden) fire alarm sound. A HUGE thank you to Officer Reilly for taking time out of his busy schedule keeping us and the campus safe to set our littlest school members at ease with such an important drill! 🚨🔥🚒🧯
