Edward D. Sadler, Jr. Elementary School serves Kindergarten through Fifth Grades in Gastonia, NC. We need parents to serve as mentors and school volunteers.

Tomorrow, December 10th from 1-3pm, students from Sadler will have their art work put on display in “A Winter Wonderland Art Show” at the Arts on the Greenway in Mount Holly, NC. We would love to have as many people there as possible to help support our Sadler student artist!

We will be celebrating and learning about all the different holidays by playing games, eating some food, listening to our Sadler students perform, and taking home some goodies for each holiday.

We want to give a huge shout out to the UNCC 49er Rocketry Club and thank them for coming out to Sadler and doing some awesome stem activities with our 5th grade students. We also want to wish them luck as they continue to compete in the 2022-2023 NASA Student Launch Competition.

Gaston County is under a tropical storm warning, and with Hurricane Ian expected to affect our area, Gaston County Schools will be closed for students on Friday, September 30. It will be an optional teacher workday. Employees have the option to work remotely, if they have the ability to do so.

ICYMI: Gaston County Schools is offering its annual summer nutrition program at school and neighborhood locations across the county. Meal distribution takes place at school sites Monday through Thursday. Breakfast will be served on-site from 7:00 a.m. until 7:30 a.m., and lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
