Good Afternoon Jaguar Family!
This is your principal, Tammy Mims, reaching out to share important information for the week.
Each day this past week we conducted several safety drills to ensure that staff and students know how to respond in an emergency situation. Safety is always top priority at Forestview. Thank you for working with us and talking with your child about the importance of our safety protocols.
To keep everyone safe, it is important to follow these traffic guidelines.
- All car riders should be dropped off at the front entrance in the mornings. Please do NOT drop off at any other entrance. We have different entrances for a purpose and all car riders should enter at the front.
- All car riders will be picked up after school at the back circle. Please do NOT pick up in any other area.
- Student drivers with a parking pass will park in the student parking lot and enter and exit at the student entrance.
- Bus riders will be dropped off at the back circle in the mornings and will board their bus in the afternoons at the front of the school.
- It presents a significant threat to student safety if these guidelines are not followed. Thank you for being patient and following the expectations to drop off or pick up your child in the assigned location.
Parents, it is important that you are an active part of your child’s education. You can access Infinite Campus through Campus Parent to see your child’s academic progress and attendance. You can also communicate with your child’s teachers to help support their learning and access to resources. Go to the Gaston County Schools website to get started with Campus Parent - https://www.gaston.k12.nc.us/for-parents/infinite-campus.
Please ensure that your child is at school each day for the full day so they do not get behind on their assignments. For any absences, students should submit a note within three days of the absence. All notes will be processed at the end of each week.
The Forestview Athletic Booster Club is hosting a campus beautification day on Sunday, August 30 to clean up, paint, and improve our campus. Students and other volunteers can sign up for a time on the Sign Up Genius Link on the Forestview Athletic Booster Club page, or at: https://bit.ly/45HGTCb.
Thank you for supporting Forestview High School! Together, we are achieving great things!
