Each Tuesday for the next several weeks we will introduce to you a new teacher who has joined our Mustang Family for the 2026-27 school year.

Today we give a Mustang welcome to Ms. Rogers, a new Kindergarten teacher to us.

Hi Mustang Family!

My name is Savannah Rogers, and I am so excited to be a part of the New Hope family! I graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and this will be my second year teaching kindergarten. I absolutely love working with young children and watching them learn, grow, and become more confident throughout the year. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, family, and friends, as well as traveling!

Favorite Flower: Hydrangeas
Favorite Color: Pink
Favorite Sport/Sports Team: Football — Auburn Tigers 🐯

Opportunity for 3rd - 5th Grade Girls:

Girls on the Run is a national after-school program for girls that combines running with lessons on confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits. Practices blend physical activity with social-emotional learning, and the season builds up to a celebratory 5k where the girls put their training into action.

Schedule:

• First practice: September 28th

• We meet Mondays and Thursdays, after school until 3:45 PM (no practice on days there’s no school)

• Last practice: December 3rd

• Final 5k: December 6th, typically held in Pineville or Charlotte

Cost: $200 for the season

One important note for parents: registration this year works through a lottery system rather than first-come, first-served. Spots aren’t guaranteed until the lottery is drawn at the end of August. This is a change from previous years, driven by Girls on the Run’s national policy rather than anything on our end, but I wanted to flag it clearly so families aren’t caught off guard.
