2026–2027 New Hope Arrival & Dismissal Form 06/18/2026

Attention All 26-27 Kindergarten Families!

Welcome to the New Hope Elementary School family! We are excited to welcome our newest Mustangs and their families for the 2026-2027 school year. Kindergarten is such a special milestone, and we look forward to partnering with you to make this a successful and memorable year for your child.

If you have not already done so, please be sure to complete your child's registration through the Gaston County Schools website. Registration must be completed before your child can begin school.

All incoming kindergarten students must participate in a kindergarten screening. Please use the following link to sign up for a screening appointment:

To help our youngest learners transition successfully into school, all kindergarten students will participate in Phase-In Days. Students with last names beginning with A–K will attend on Thursday, August 13, and students with last names beginning with L–Z will attend on Friday, August 14. During these phase-in days, all students will be car riders, and the school day will run from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. This special schedule allows students and teachers to become familiar with routines and build positive relationships in a smaller setting before all kindergarten students begin attending together. We will also be hosting an Open House in August before the start of school. Please stay on the lookout for those dates and details.

We encourage all families to stay connected with New Hope Elementary by following us on social media and regularly visiting our school website. These platforms are the best ways to stay informed about important dates, events, school news, and updates throughout the year. Staying connected will help ensure that you never miss information that will help your child have a successful and enjoyable school experience.

We are excited to meet our newest Mustangs and can't wait to begin another great year at New Hope Elementary School! If you have any questions, please contact the school office. Welcome to the Mustang family!
