Good Evening Families,
Thank you so much for your patience with bus routes as we make changes to accommodate all students and ensure that they are safely transported to and from school. Please keep in mind that it takes 2-3 days to process bus requests. Additionally the bus form or Google form must be filled out before a child can ride the bus.
Students that live in Greenview Meadows have a new pick up time on bus 512. They need to be at the bus stop at 6:40 AM for 6:45 AM pick up.Lastly, we will have pick up and drop off times for families soon.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding. Have a good night!

LES Family Bulletin August 24-28
Good evening Lingerfeldt Wildcats,
This is Ms. Cabe and I wanted to say thank you to our families for following drop off and pick up expectations . One of the highest priority is getting your student to school on time. Please make an effort to drop them off by 7:20. If you drop off after 7:30, you have to come in and sign your student in. Car riders should wait to get out of the car when they reach the sidewalk. No students should be dropped off in any grass area or side of the road. All car riders need to be picked up at the back of the school by 2:45. Every pick up car has to have a car tag in order to pick up a student for safety purposes. No parent is allowed to get out of the car during pick up or drop off.
I want to say thank you especially for your patience with the bus schedule. Every student should have a lunch/transportation card zip tied to their bookbag. These will need to stay on the entire year for emergency purposes. Here is what is happening this week at LES

And we keep rolling through our 2nd grade Staff Spotlights, featuring the wonderful Ms. Jones! 🌟

Ms. Jones joins our Lingerfeldt team for not only her first year at Lingerfeldt, but her first year as a teacher, making her a shoe-in for our "Rookie of the Year" award 🏆

Although it is Ms. Jones first year in the classroom, she is a proud graduate of Gaston County Schools and a lifelong resident of Gaston County, and she is truly excited to work in the community that raised her while providing the same high quality education she received as a former student!

Ms. Jones also brings a variety of experience working with students ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade, and most recently served as a Small Group Instructor at Yorkchester Middle School where she provided specialized instruction to students that required additional support ✨

Again, Ms. Jones is a proud graduate of Gaston County Schools, and she then went on to Belmont Abbey to earn her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education 🎓

Take a moment to congratulate Ms. Jones for jumping into her first teaching position, and also take a moment to thank her for joining both our Lingerfeldt team and the many educators who strive to serve each student with the best possible education! ⭐️

Our next staff spotlight goes to Ms. Reguindin, another one of the incredible teachers on our 2nd Grade team! 💫

Ms. Reguindin brings over 20 years of teaching experience to our team, and is another one of the incredible teachers in our International Exchange Visitor Program. She is entering her 3rd year at Lingerfeldt, and has truly enjoyed watching her students, grow, discover, and gain confidence as they learn and progress through her class. She also constantly strives to develop her skills by looking for new ideas and best practices because she believes teachers are lifelong learners too! 🧠

In her free-time, Ms. Reguindin enjoys travelling, taking road trips, eating good food, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She also hopes to one day see the Northern Lights which is one of the top items on her bucket list! ✨

Ms. Reguindin also earned her Bachelors of Elementary Education from the Philippine Normal University in Manila 🎓

We are so grateful for Ms. Reguindin's contributions to our students, staff, and school, so please take a moment to congratulate and thank her for returning to Lingerfeldt for another awesome year!

As we kick off the new year, we want to take a moment to thank one of our core community partners, Tabernacle Baptist Church-Gastonia for their immense support of our students, staff, and school! 🌟

One of the core pillars of our success are the many community partners who pour resources into our school, and we are proud to say that Tabernacle is one of our most committed community partners who have offered endless support over the past few years!

This year, Tabernacle has committed to a "Fill the Fridge" campaign, where they purchase snacks and coffee for our new and improved staff lounge, which has been getting quite a bit of use over the past week! If America Runs on Dunkin, it is safe to say that Lingerfeldt is currently running on Tabernacle ☕️

Alongside their Fill the Fridge campaign, Tabernacle has also committed to supporting our new Mentorship program, which will connect the members of their church with some of our students and families. This program will hopefully become a core part of our "Family Engagement" plan, with a core focus on reminding our students and families of the many community members who are here to support while actively cheering for their success! 🎉

Again, the support of our community partners are truly invaluable, and Tabernacles long standing support highlights their commitment to serving our community, students, and school, all while making an incredible impact in so many ways 💫

If you're interested in joining the effort to support Lingerfeldt whether you're a parent, business owner, or invested citizen, please contact either Vinesse Lindsay or Dominick Ibrahim at [email protected], or at [email protected]!

We've been busy, and it's been a while, but we return to our Staff Spotlights featuring the incredible Mr. Harris! 🌟

You may recognize Mr. Harris as a familiar face here at Lingerfeldt. Last year he joined our team as the Behavior Intervention Specialist, where he focused on supporting our student's Social Emotional learning with a focus on promoting and developing positive behaviors and coping mechanisms for students that get easily upset, frustrated, or angry.

This year he's back, and arguably better than ever, because Mr. Harris has officially decided to jump into a classroom and become one of the incredible teachers on our 2nd grade team! 💫

Mr. Harris loves Hip Hop, Jazz music, and coffee, which he even incorporated into last year's Black History Month Family Night by hosting a coffee bar and poetry session, allowing students to tap into their creativity while enjoying snacks/refreshments ☕️🍪 He also enjoys gardening in his free time which was featured in another one of our family nights, the Learn to Grow Your Score event 🌷

With a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and 4 years of experience in education, Mr. Harris enters a new chapter of his journey with plenty of experience, skills, and a desire to make an impact on every student he works with!

Take a moment to congratulate Mr. Harris for stepping into the classroom, taking on new challenges, and for being an awesome member of our team that is truly committed to serving our students! ⭐️

And stay tuned for the rest of our staff spotlights, coming soon! 👀

As we reflect on our first week of school we are truly filled with immense gratitude for our students, families, and community partners that have get us off to an awesome start in the new year, and we are so excited for what the rest of the year has in store! 💫

Throughout Open House, the first day of school, and our kindergarten students first time walking through the doors, there have been so many moments that remind us how awesome it is to be, even though some of us are still badly missing our relaxing summer routines 😎

Thank you to all our families, students, and community partners that are showing up everyday to support our students, and thank you for your patience as we get back in the groove and iron out the routines that keep our students safe, engaged, and learning. We could not do this without you all, hence our motto: Work Together, Win Together! 🌟

As we wrap up our first two days and kick off the new year, we want to take a moment to express our immense gratitude for the people who will make this incredible year happen - our Lingerfeldt staff & team! ⭐️

Whether it’s our teachers leading instruction, our nutrition team preparing meals, our custodians keeping our building clean, or our admin coordinating the day and supporting everyone, each person pictured below makes a committed effort to serve our school and ultimately our students/families 🏫

If you ask any one of us, we all feel truly blessed to be at Lingerfeldt, not because the work is “easy,” but because our motto “work together, win together” is evident in every single person who shows up everyday.

We all show up with a commitment to serving our students and a commitment to supporting one another, and the result is an environment that truly allows everyone the opportunity to flourish whether it’s through their academic/professional growth, or their ability to be a “good person” and friend 💫

It takes a lot for a school to be successful, and we all know the core of our success relies on the staff that show up, buy in, and give back in so many ways, and we are truly blessed at Lingerfeldt to have an incredible team that is both prepared and committed to making this year a massive success for our students, families, staff, and community partners!

Stay tuned as we continue to post pictures from our first few days back, and as we continue to post our “staff spotlights” highlighting the incredible individuals and teams that will make this year our best yet! 🌟
