German composer and pianist F***y Mendelssohn was born on this day in 1805. ❤️

She wrote over 460 compositions, including more than 125 for solo piano. Most of these were unpublished in her lifetime, and due to social conventions of the time about the roles of women, six of her songs were published under her brother’s name, Felix Mendelssohn.

Now offering lessons in the
Nashville Numeric System-
I'm hearing this over & over from various sources. It is used a lot more than most people realize for playing music. NNS allows for easy key transposition & a great many guitarists/bass players use it. I've decided to start teaching this from a keyboard/piano standpoint. Message & I'll be glad to answer any questions that you have. Look forward to hearing from you!

S. is looking at sheet music written in C, but transposing it to G. Transposing from sheet music, in itself, is a skill that not many pianists can do.
