After taking some time off from teaching, I am reopening my doors to teaching Kung Fu and Wudang Arts. Lessons for once a week are $150 a month for 1.5/2 hr sessions, and $250 for 2 lessons a week lasting 1.5 hours - 2 hours a session. Lessons are for adults only, due to the religious and philosophical background of both arts.

Lesson availability is Mon all day, Tues and Weds after 4, Sat after 6, and Sun after 4. I have been studying kung fu since the age of 4 and teaching since 15. I specialize in Tai Chi and Ba Gua, but also teach Shaolin, Xing Yi, and other Wudang styles, including Qigong. Weapons arts are also taught. Traditional dress is preferred, but not necessarily required during the beginning of learning. I have many resources to help find the robes you want or robes on a budget.

Along with martial arts, Taoist culture, philosophy, and mysticism are taught. No matter what your goals, physical, mental, or spiritual, Kung Fu is a journey like no other and there is always a new adventure waiting around the corner.

Contact me here or by phone, 704-915-6800, if interested in learning these ancient and time refined arts. No matter what physical condition or age, everyone can participate in learning these noble trainings and defend themselves and others.

For Star Wars enthusiasts, i also teach lightsaber dueling and arts. The Jedi were heavily based on the Shaolin and Wudang temples and correlate well together. Lessons for this are slightly cheaper, and I do not provide a lightsaber for student. I suggest purchasing one of sparring quality from ultrasabers.

Me also at 19 years old performing Sun Lu Tang’s Ba Gua straight sword routine. A beautiful form with flowing movements. Any of these techniques can be combined and intertwined to form endless combinations of attacks and changes.

Me, at 19 years old, performing the 8 mother palms of Wudang Style Lu Mountain Ba Gua Palm.

My favorite style of Ba Gua, this is the style closest to what D**g Haichuan would have learned in his time with the Taoist monks.

Shaolin 9 province staff as performed by former student, Colby. A short but dynamic form when used at full speed and power. This style of staff teaches precision of technique, firm and solid power, and light footwork to make this basic set one of the most famous sets in Kung Fu. (Hence the name 9 province staff)

This is shifu Alex performing the Sun style Ba Gua sword. Sun Lutang was the creator of various styles after many long years of study himself. The skills in the set look simple yet each movement is a deadly technique.
