Hi friends! I am getting ready to direct the Laramie Project at New Hope Baptist Church in Gastonia, North Carolina. Teenagers and adults are welcome to audition. Auditions will be at 6:45 at New Hope Baptist Church on February 25 and 26. There is nothing to prepare ahead of time, but please be familiar with the true story and the script if you have one. We will rehearse Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45-8:45. The shows will be April 10 & 11. Again, due to content This show will be PG13.

Prior to the event, auditionees will go to the MTA website and register a time for their audition. Also, they will also send in their resume/headshot to a designated email. In turn, MTA will send this information to the companies before the event happens on that Saturday. Auditionees will come in with a prepared monologue or two and will have 90 seconds to audition. This particular audition is not set up specifically for singing. However, if the auditionee wishes to sing as part of their 90 seconds, you can send in a MP3 or MP4 file of the accompanying music along with your resume and headshot when you register. We'll have someone there to hit 'play' for you.

These auditions are for those age 16 and up.

We are very excited that this will give those auditioning an opportunity to be seen by a wide range of companies. This will also give the companies the opportunity to see people who they can reach out to possibly audition for specific shows coming up in their season. So it's a win-win situation for everyone involved! Tentatively, we have the following companies invited to be in attendance:
