All our students have incredible potential, and we are excited about creating even more opportunities for them to grow, compete, lead, and succeed.

At Wes-Del, we believe athletics are an important part of the educational experience. We want to continue creating opportunities for our student athletes to pursue excellence in the classroom, on the field, and in life.

BIG thanks to Mike Dowling for donating $500 to the 5th grade Camp Tecumseh field trip fund. Thanks to generous donations, we are able to offer this trip for only $20 per student.

A huge congratulations to our Wes-Del Elementary students and staff on an incredible 95.5% IREAD pass rate!

This achievement reflects a tremendous amount of hard work, dedication, teamwork, and belief in our kids.

Warrior Family,

Wes-Del Community Schools will operate on a normal schedule Monday, August 17, 2026.

Thankfully, our school buildings, grounds, and athletic facilities are in good shape following last week’s weather, and we are ready to welcome our students and staff back for a great week of school.

We recognize, however, that some of our families and neighbors throughout Delaware County may still be dealing with the effects of flooding. Delaware County has established a central location for flood-related resources, information, and property damage reporting:

County officials are encouraging residents who experienced property damage to report it as soon as possible. These reports are important in documenting the overall impact of the flooding and helping determine what assistance may become available to our communities.

As always, if your family is experiencing circumstances related to the flooding that may affect your child’s ability to attend school, please reach out to your child’s school. We will work with our families however we can.

We are grateful that Wes-Del came through the storms in good shape, and our thoughts remain with our neighbors who were not as fortunate.

We look forward to seeing our Warriors back tomorrow!

The Wes-Del Community is deeply saddened by the passing of Richard Beeman on August 11.

Richard spent many years serving students as a bus driver for Wes-Del and Yorktown. With his warm personality, easy smile, and genuine kindness, he became a trusted and familiar face to countless students and families. Richard truly loved his work because of the children he met along the way, and the impact he made will remain with our school community for years to come.

Please keep his wife, Connie, and the entire Beeman family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue in Muncie. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Richard may have completed his final route, but his kindness and legacy will travel with the Warrior family forever.

Once a Warrior, always a Warrior.
