Hi Team and Family,

Happy Sunday! We hope that you had an amazing week and are looking forward to summer break, which for our students, begins on Friday, June 11th. This week's pride post entails information about Plan C testing, tech drop-off, “Summer Send-Off Boxes” and the 8th Grade Transition Parade.

This week, we will wrap up End of Grade Testing for our Plan C 7th and 8th graders. As a friendly reminder, I’ve included the testing schedule below. Students will be in the building from 9:00 am t0 2:00 pm. If your student is a car rider, please note that morning drop-off is at 8:30 am and we will not be able to allow students in the building before that time. Before that time teachers will be arriving and preparing for the day, so we will not be able to ensure supervision before that time.

Summer Send Off Boxes

To recognize all of our student's hard work and resilience this school year, we have put together a special send-off gift box for each of our students. Students will be able to pick up their summer send-off box on the designated day/time of their grade level tech drop-off. Each box will contain a beautiful t-shirt, a book for students to read over the summer, KIPP SWAG, personalized notes from teachers, and a few learning resources.

2025 EOY Celebration: Take Your Walk*

On June 10th, our 8th-grade students will strut their stuff as they take their symbolic walk from the middle school to the high school. We are all excited to celebrate our students as they begin this new journey, and become one step closer to attending the colleges of their choice. Since this is a parade-style event, students and families have specific times allotted so that we can control traffic and make sure we are celebrating safely. Please contact Mrs. Hines, if you have questions about this event. The celebration will take place from 5:00 pm - 7:00opm, which is also when 8th graders will do tech drop-off.

Hi Team and Family,

Happy Sunday! We hope that you all had an amazing week and are looking forward to finishing this school year strong. We have 14 days left until we conclude this school year and send our students off on a well deserved summer break. This week's pride post will highlight some very important information about instruction over the next few weeks, EOG testing and parent teachers conferences.

Like last week, instruction this week will continue to be asynchronous and teachers will have assignments uploaded by 8am. ELA and Science assignments will be uploaded on Mondays and Thursdays. Math and History assignments will be uploaded on Tuesday and Wednesday. Morning advisory will continue to take place at 8:50am to ensure that students know what assignments they are completing and to continue building school community. It is imperative that students are logging into advisory and completing assignments so that they are counted present for attendance. If students are not logging into advisory and are not completing assignments, they will be marked absent. On Friday, students will login to live sessions with their core teachers so that they receive support on assignments. Teachers also have tutoring twice a week as an additional layer of instructional support.

EOG testing for Plan B students (hybrid/in-person), will continue this week. The Pride of 2028 will ace their Science EOG tomorrow and the Pride of 2025 will do the same on Wednesday. Additionally, this week we will administer EOG assessments to any of our Plan B students that were absent last week and need to makeup an EOG.

EOG testing for Plan C students (students that have remained 100% remote), will take place the first week of June. The testing dates for Plan C students are outlined below:

Hi Team and Family,

We hope that you all had an amazing week and are looking forward to what lies ahead this week. We are also excited to celebrate the Pride of 2021, who just a while ago announced where they are headed in the fall. Let's be sure to shower our seniors with all the love and support, as they continue to be examples of what is possible, even in the midst of a very unique school year.

EOG testing for Plan B students kicks off next week and we wanted to highlight a few reminders. On May 17th through the remainder of the school year, all Monday-Thursday instruction will be asynchronous. Your student’s assignments will be uploaded each day by 8 a.m. ELA and Science assignments will be uploaded on Mondays and Thursdays. Math and History assignments will be uploaded on Tuesday and Wednesday. Morning advisory will continue to take place at 8:50am to ensure that students know what assignments they are completing and to continue building school community. Each core teacher will also continue to hold tutoring sessions as an additional layer of instructional support. We are shifting to asynchronous online instruction so that our staff can support EOG testing in-person for all students.

Beginning Friday, May 21, each Friday students will login to live sessions 9:00-11:30 a.m. with their teachers to receive support and extension on their asynchronous assignments. Each Friday, students’ schedules will consist of 45 minutes with each core teacher on the rotation they previously followed. This plan allows us to safely and effectively accommodate the needs of all students no matter their current learning path, while administering EOG assessments to students who have opted into testing this school year.

The last day for in-person learning for Plan B students is May 27th; after that date, students who are coming in twice a week on our hybrid plan will no longer report to the school. They will complete all instruction during June online. During our final two weeks in June, students who are currently on Plan C who choose to participate in EOG testing will be able to do so. If your student is currently on Plan C (remote instruction only) and you did not complete the survey but want your student to test, you will have to provide transportation on the testing days. The school hours are from 9:00am -2:00pm. If your student is on Plan B hybrid, they will complete EOG testing May 17-28 on their regularly scheduled in-person instruction days. If your student is on Plan B and you have opted out of EOG testing, we are able to accommodate them in the building on their grade level days if you as a parent need that continued support.
