At Legacy Foundation, we are proud to serve as a Local Program Partner for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Every single month, children in Lake County receive brand-new, age-appropriate books delivered straight to their doorstep at zero cost to their families.

While the program brings the magic, our role as a Local Program Partner is to secure the funds to cover 100% of the book and shipping costs for local kids. We believe every child deserves the gift of reading, but we can't do it without you!

We understand that many families are still working to get back to their normal routines. As you rebuild, recover, and get your families settled, we want you to know that Elka is here.

We are accepting applications for new children and families to join us!

Elka Child Educational Center, Inc. is looking for a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher and Preschool Teacher to join our team!

We are seeking individuals who:
• Have a genuine love for working with young children.
• Hold a current Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
• Have access to the Indiana iLEAD platform.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Are dependable, patient, and enthusiastic.
• Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with families.
• Are committed to helping children learn, grow, and thrive each day.

Position Details:
• Full-time
• Monday–Friday
• Competitive pay based on education and experience
• Must meet all Indiana licensing requirements for early childhood educators

Now Hiring: Administrative Assistant!💚💛

Elka Child Educational Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and professional Administrative Assistant to work alongside our Director of Operations and assist with the day-to-day operations of our center.

The ideal candidate will be:

* Personable, optimistic, and professional
* A strong communicator who enjoys working with people
* Passionate about serving children and families
* Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Experienced in administrative office operations
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Experienced working in a childcare or early childhood education setting
* Familiar with Indiana early learning requirements and the iLEAD system

This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and is looking to make a meaningful impact while supporting a center that has proudly served children and families in our community for more than 57 years.

Our Elka Scholars have worked incredibly hard all year to prepare for this exciting next chapter, and we couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them.
