A catalyst for growth, the IU Northwest Community Garden collaboratively builds capacity and connections.

The Garden is open to all members of the campus and public and is committed to education, health, social and physical well-being. A campus-community partnership transformed a vacant lot on campus grounds into a blossoming array of colorful native plants and vegetables. The IU Northwest Community Garden is located on the corner of 35th Avenue and Washington, across from the Anderson Library Conference Center.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Friday for Meet the Trees: An Intro to Urban Forestry and Tree Identification!

We had a wonderful time learning about the vital role trees play in our neighborhoods and learning how to better recognize and care for them. From the indoor session to our campus tree walk, it was a great way to connect with nature and seeing our campus in a whole new way.

A special thank you to Certified Arborist Ryan Bennett for sharing his knowledge and inspiring us to appreciate trees as essential neighbors in our community.

Stay tuned for more opportunities to learn and grow together!
