Our little learners had a wonderful time exploring and tasting cantaloupe as part of our healthy eating and sensory learning activities!

The children used their senses to observe the melon’s color, texture, smell, and taste while practicing descriptive language and building new vocabulary. They discussed what they noticed, shared their thoughts with friends, and enjoyed a delicious, healthy snack together.

Happy Mother's Day to the awesome, beautiful Mother's of DDA!

Watch us turn simple household items into a fun, hands-on construction sensory bin! Using cocoa powder, oil, and flour, We created a realistic “dirt” texture for little builders to explore. We added black and white beans as rocks and used magnetic alphabet tiles as building materials to spark creativity and learning. This is a perfect sensory activity that encourages imaginative play, fine motor skills, and early literacy—all while having fun getting a little messy!
