As our community continues to recover from the devastating storm, we are reminded that Lake Ridge is so much more than our school buildings. It is the people who come together when help is needed most.

We are incredibly proud of our principals, staff, and students who have stepped up to serve, lend a hand, and give back to our community during this difficult time.

There is still work to be done, but we will continue moving forward together.

🚨 CALLING ALL WARRIOR ATHLETES & STUDENTS! WE NED HELP MONDAY & TUESDAY🚨
Parents/Guardians — tell your kids! 🙌

Our community needs us! ❤️ Organizations from across the country are stepping up and sending water, TIDE, food boxes, clothing and other essential supplies to help our families impacted by the storm.

Now WE need to step up! 💪

We need 10–15 volunteers throughout the day to help unload, organize, set up and distribute these donations.

Lake Ridge Is Here for Our Community

As our community continues to recover from the devastating storm, Lake Ridge Schools remains committed to supporting our families, neighbors, and community members during this difficult time.

On Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25, our Lake Ridge Schools Conference Center will once again be open to the public as a Cooling & Charging Station, with breakfast and lunch available.

Breakfast: 9:00–11:30 a.m.
Lunch: 12:00–2:30 p.m.

Location: Lake Ridge Schools Conference Center
3900 Calhoun St. Gary, IN 46408

Meals will be packaged to go, or you are welcome to stay, cool off, charge your devices, enjoy some water or coffee, and have your meal with us.
We know these past several days have been incredibly difficult for many of our families and neighbors. Please know that you are not alone. We will continue doing what we can to support our community as we recover together.

Everyone is welcome. Please share this information with anyone who may need it.

We know this has been an incredibly difficult time for so many in our community. Many of our neighbors are still without power and continue to navigate the challenges left behind by this devastating storm.

Today, we invite anyone in our community who needs a place to cool off, charge their devices, get some water, or simply take a break to join us at the Lake Ridge Schools Conference Center, 3900 Calhoun Street, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please use the entrance near the football gates.

We are also incredibly grateful to our friends and community partners at Chartwells, who are helping us provide 200 snack bags for those who stop by today. Snack bags will be available while supplies last.

We know we cannot take away all of the challenges our community is facing, but we hope we can provide a little comfort and support during this difficult time.
Please know that this is open to the entire community. You do not need to be a Lake Ridge family to stop by.

Take care of yourselves, take care of one another, and know that Lake Ridge is here for you.
