RMC Studios: We Teach, You Rock! We Teach. You Rock! Everyone on staff at RMC is a musician of some kind. Each of us attributes our passion to early childhood exposure to music. All are welcome!

RMC began as a home based private music instruction company and has flourished over the last several years, making it possible to open a beautiful music facility in Garwood, NJ. It is our mission to make certain every child we teach realizes the endless musical potential they have. Additionally, we offer music lessons to adults who need a quick refresher course or are starting from scratch! RMC al

so offers music outreach programs at various recreation centers throughout New Jersey. These programs are low cast group classes that allow children to experience various instruments in a fun social environment. Our other exciting programs include our acclaimed 'Rockshop', which puts teens and 'tweens' into a real life rock band environment. One of our experienced instructors will work with 4 to 5 students and help them play classic songs and write original songs to be performed at events held at NJ venues like The Crossroads and The Stone Pony! These kids know how to shred!

Throwback to when the Iron Pugs made us all forget we were standing in the rain at RMC Fest 2025! These guys really knew how to light up a stage then…and they’re still going strong!

If you have a kid who would like to be on stage like this, let us know! We have Rockshops (student bands) forming and rocking out all of the time.

Before heading to prom, Ryan took the RMC Fest stage one last time—joined by former RMC students and lifelong friends, Logan and Matt.

Ryan has been part of the RMC family for years, growing into an incredible drummer, leader, and friend. His dedication, positivity, and love for music have left a lasting impact on our community.

Ryan, we're so proud of you and can't wait to see where your journey takes you next.

Growth happens beyond the practice room. The Synonyms have worked hard all year, and it shows.

From Rockshop rehearsals to performing at Garwood Rocks, they've built confidence, teamwork, and the ability to perform in front of a live audience—skills you can only develop through real-world experience.

We're so proud of everything they've accomplished and can't wait to see what's next!

Throwback to senior Sofia Jemison’s final performance at RMC!

Sofia began taking lessons with us at just 8 years old, growing from a piano student into a talented flutist, pianist, marching band musician, and longtime RMC Fest Gamemaster.

Her teacher, Liz, will miss their conversations, shared love of food and travel, and watching Sofia grow into the incredible young woman she is today.

Congratulations, Sofia! We can't wait to see where life takes you. 💙

The stage is calling! 🎭✨ Over 8 exciting days, students build confidence while learning acting, singing, dance, improvisation, stage makeup, and ensemble performance.

The camp ends with a live performance, and every student receives a personalized audition reel to take home.

RMC Fest was Maeve's very first performance, and she was nervous. With her teacher Casey by her side encouraging her, Maeve found the courage to step onto the stage.

And once she started to play and sing, her beautiful voice filled the field.

See mom and dad! Siblings CAN get along!
…sometimes…

Siblings Sydney and Sawyer decided to share their lesson this past week. They chose the song, we learned it, and then did a mini performance for mom and mom.

Music is a collaborative effort as much as it is a solo effort.

Lessons are still up and running during the summer. It’s never a bad time to start lessons or ask us about our Rockshop band program, where students get to play together.
